sometimes while soloing I run away from the 50 horses up the hills where they cant go. They swarm below me like little bugs and I wish I had a grenade. But I know that would be unreasonable so how about some oil buckets + torches or fire arrows? I'd love nothing more than to see a bunch of stupid bandits screaming and running aimlessly as the flames engulf them and their flesh melts off as they fall down to their death.

BURN BABY BURN!!!
MOH HA HA HA HA.

Ugh, I know how you feel! I´ve often wished for a grenade! In RTS games too I´ve occaisionaly wished for a Lancastor or Mosquito or Halifax (I don´t know of many bombers actualy, and the Fortress 1 flew too high).

You spelt Authority wrong in the sign on your signature.
I'm not gonig to go in about your post.
Plus who really gives a damn in the grand scheme of things.
Don't answer that.
No, I do not want vampires, unless it's a mod with a lot of that stuff in it.
I do want nades.

THIS ISN'T WORLD WAR ****ING THREE they didn't have grenades back then. They did however have fire arrows and other things like that. What would be cool to do is to have a bucket of pitch oil with u mark a path so when they charge at you u shoot a fire arrow and set the pitch alight.then it burns all enemy that pass through thats the only thing i see possible to do reguarding M&Bs timeline.

Try using edit instead of bumping the post. Also...I cannot think of a time oil or fire arrows were used in a combat situation excepting seiges. So, as seiges arent implemented, having fire arrows would be somewhat pointless. Also, you would need to bring a brazier or lit torch to light the arrows, they would fly less straight, and would be extinguished the minute they hit someone. Contrary to Rome: Total War, people do not burst into flames. So, there is no reason other than novelty to have flaming arrows.

Now...to further destroy your post, there was a form of grenades. Naptha, or greek fire, was often contained in pots and hurled, exploding when the pot smashed. I would be interested in seeing area of effect damage, like a naphta pot, mostly to help modders with magic.

Actually, hand thrown explosives was one of the earilest uses of explosives, not only things like greek fire. (Also one of the most deadly,... to the user. Didn't have the best of fuses in those days. its not a good idea to light a 14th century nade and then make a speech before throwing)

Some of the armour we're using postdates early firearms easily by as much 200 years!

Also, firearrows and that have very little effect on a human compared to a normal arrow. We're mostly water, so it isn't like they're actually going to burn us to death, however they could set clothes on fire, but I wouldn't expect them to burn that great, and if they're in deep enough to cause you problems in putting the fire out, well, it is in deep enough to kill you anyway.

Not to mention having a FIRE on the end of a WOOD shaft sort of weakens it, and would mean the arrow head is more likely to break and absorb much of its own force.

Petrol bombs were used at those times: Take a little clay pot, put some pitch in it, stick a rag into the pot and tie it around the neck so it won't get loose, light the rag, throw the pot towards the enemy, BOOM, people and horses start to panic, clothes and horses are on fire, time for some barbeque!

And comeon, you can't say that flaming arrows wouldn't look cool! Maybe they wouldn't be useful but they would indeed look cool.

And how about a feature to pick up an opponent, torch him and throw at the enemy? Of course, prisoners could be used to that from the beginning of the battle.
