I thought both did a great job.  When action comes fast, you were able to commentate very quickly, I don't think I can even talk that fast.  Pretty entertaining, and I am looking forward to more.  Eman and Cradoc also did a fantastic job.  Very good streams so far.  Thanks for taking the time to do these!

You just need to have that balance. MrX and blak work very well off each other because MrX does talk very fast while blak gives slower and deeper analysis. With that said, perhaps I will agree a bit with Zero in saying that MrX should quiet down a bit after the main engagement has occurred, to give blak the ability to say his word.

Wow yay feedbacks!

Seriously all feedback is helpful. Detailed stuff like Zero's is super helpful. Normally I wouldn't want to respond with any disclaimers or defensive ****, but I would like to quickly address (and kinda shut down) the idea of a "main" and "backup" caster. And this comes from me, not WarbandNA or anyone else.

One of the things blak and I talked about before the match was the seperation of play-by-play and "color" (which I take to be just everything else), and I told him that one of my main personal goals for these streams is to try and hype up the game and make the combat exciting to watch. I'd been working on that with play-by-play which led to the decision that I would take on the play-by-play. When we were discussing the nature of it more it came up that play-by-play tended to be the bulk of the commentating on the closed maps, which I do think got into my head a little and resulted in an experience like Zero described. I just wanted it to be clear that I was not being the "main caster", I was just trying to fill my new and exciting role, and I actually personally tend to agree with Zero and think I was a tad over-eager about doing that earlier on in the stream. The point is that there wasn't and, in my opinion, shouldn't be, a main caster, but that the different roles we've taken on at WarbandNA seem to require different amounts of each at different times.

The volume of your welcoming was a bit loud and inconsistent (volume-wise) on Wappaw/wK

Regardless of throwing away the idea of main/back-up caster, it will always appear that way because one role (in the case or warband casting, the "play-by-play'er") will naturally (and should) have more to say.

I also think with the amount of downtime with matches, both commentators can work off of each other and fulfil the "colour" role as you described.  That is to say, the play-by-play'er, assuming he is knowledgeable about the scene shouldn't be limited in his role.

shrug.. do what you want, streams are pretty good so far.

I guess I just don't like the notion of one person being more important than the other.
Speaking more != more important to the success of the stream.

I just finished watching the stream (congrats boys, good work), but I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed the commentary. X managed to provide a level of necessary enthusiasm and excitement, and Blak's valuable insight fit really well with X's style of commentary. It's only natural for one commentator to assume a certain role, and the other commentator to assume a different one. Obviously you guys do this live, so whatever happens isn't some planned motion to become "main-caster" or whatever it's being called. I say keep up with what you're doing, it's only going to get better from here on out.

[size=12pt]King John paces, looking over his ragtag group of soldiers. Braveheart is seen taking an arrow out of his shoulder, as Nevino comforts his hungry and grumbling steed. The camp is desolate and eerily quiet, as the Knights of Avalon worry over their battle against the Honor Bound berserkers. Finally, King John stands upon a boulder and shouts for his men to listen.
"Men! We are all that stands between the fiends and Division A! We are the final defenders, we are the last bastion of true honor! This is where we make our stand, this is where we show the world what we are capable of! Tonight, we fight to the last man!" His men cheer, but the worry remains.

Over his voice, the screams of the Honor Bound men can be heard. "I WANT JOHN'S HEAD! I WANT JOHN'S HEAD!" screams Zaffa as Chewbacca fires barbed arrows into effigies of Troubador. VinnyPooh leaps on a pile of DoF bodies shouting, "TAKE NO PRISONERS! SHOW NO REMORSE! TONIGHT WE ARE HONOR BOUND - TO STOMP THESE MAGGOTS INTO THE GROUND!"

Will the Knights of Avalon hold, or is Honor Bound's domination assured? Watch tonight!

[size=12pt]Mad Dawg, disguised in Hoboknight gear, strolls into a nearby village to buy food for his men. He thinks about the upcoming match about the West Knights. He was apprehensive at first, but he begins to think to himself. "My name is Mad Dawg. The Malions are all but destroyed. The Midnight Watchmen were crushed in last week's battle. The Balions rule this community, and nobody will stand in my way." He evilly laughs to himself as he walks into a nearby alley.

Suddenly, a hooded figure grabs his neck and pushes him up against the wall. With his left hand, the man pulls down his hood. It was Calamity.

"Balions aren't what they used to be, Mad Dawg. This is my town now. We beat you in CJTT. We beat you in UNAC Season 1. Scott Ray is an old horse now, and your peasant and Zero are nothing compared to Lagstro. I'll see you on the battlefield tonight - that is, if your legs can carry you there, old man." Chills run down Mad Dawg's spine as Calamity releases him and runs off into the shadows.

Who is right, and who is dead? Watch tonight!
