My village's castle is hostile

Hello everyone.

New in this game, yet highly addicted - as happened to other paradox titles in the past.

I was given a vassalage status by the Rhodoks king and a village as a bonus.The strange thing is that while I am friend with the Rhodocs (my starting fraction as well) the castle related to that village (castle belongs to another rhodocs' lord) is hostile to me.I try entering that particular castle and they wont let me.

Is this normal or is it a bug?

Also how could I possibly be the lord of that particular castle? I dont think I can attack, as I dont see any relevant option when I approach it.Isnt it that, all villages are protected by a nearby castle and pay tax to the lord of this castle?

The lord of that castle hates you thus he doesnt want you in his castle.
Villages you own pay you for protection not the castle.

He is not hostile, he "just" hates you because the fief you got from the King was previously his fief.

So how is this going to be resolved? Am I getting this castle sometime in the future or what?

No you wont get the castle easily. If that castle is captured by enemy, and you get it back and ask for it the king might you it to you.

There are ways to improve your relation with that lord;
Help him out in battles when he is outnumbered.
Send him gifts via ladies.

The main problem is that this situation should not happen, usually the castle and it's village both have the same holder.
As the others said because the king took away the village and gave it to him the lord no does not like you (-20 or so) and thus does not allow you to enter. To get that castle it has to be conquered by an enemy and taken back but when it is conquered you will loose the village anyway and who gets the castle when it is taken back is up to the king.

To get a better standing with the lord either send him gifts (1000 per point of relation is a bit much though) or do quests for him.

It is  hard, for this castle to become conquered by the enemy, because its near the border with Swadians who suck badly
Do I have a chance to get another castle instead or I am bound to this one related with my village?

You can get another one if your faction conquers new castles. Your chance increases if you conquer one yourself.

Who gets a conquered city, castle or village is decided by the king.
He factors renown, the lords' standing with him (you included), the lords' holdings and a bonus for the one who led the attack and then decides at random. If you look up TheMageLord's tweaks you will both find the mathematics used and a way to change it.
Usually the first fiefs go to the lords without one so don't be surprised if you get nothing for some time.

Also, you can just get a castle for doing nothing if the king likes you enough

The way the king decides who to give a recently captured castle/town involves much more luck than relation with him (the king). It is only something like 1%, at most, between all the factors involved. Sorry Wolven, but that was luck, not king's love.

Also, you can just get a castle for doing nothing if you are lucky

This has happened to me.
