My town is slowly getting poor prosperity?

Not sure if this is a bug, currently I own Curaw, and it started off decently at 1k, but I noticed it started dipping from Average to Poor getting about 400 denars, luckily my 3 villages is keeping me afloat for about 700 denars each.

I cant seem to do any more quests from the Guild Master after 30 days, and also I am noticing that my rating from being in mid as being prosperity to dropping to last. I started the game at 1.001 or something and using patch 1.015.

What I dont understand is how to buff up Curaw prosperity and its really starting to annoy me, I really regret taking towns if my prosperity for a single town is dipping as fast as me hosting a feast.

Does hosting a feast decrease prosperity even!?!?!?

Eh if you use Warband, then you should be using patch 1.113. If you use normal Mount&Blade, this is the wrong forum board

Anyways, there can be several reasons why your town is becoming poor. Caravans and villagers visiting it get raided, your villages aren't producing much etc. You can ask the guild master for some details (with the newest patch  ). You should be able to see where the problem is and then solve it.

Oh and they only give you quests if they want to, it is really strange somtimes. I recommend asking the tavern keepers for information about quest-givers.

This is Warband, not the original cause you cant host feasts on the original.

I am using the newest patch 1.113 (through Steam) and the guild master explains that not enough trade is going on, but I am unsure why, I checked my surroundings and not a bandit in sight. Also my villages are average but they're doing pretty well.

Used Tweak MB to increase it, but I'm still getting nothing .

Oh wellz...

find out what they are short of in your town and go out and get some for them.

the guild master should tell you what goods they are short of so go and get those from other villages and towns to see if you can boost the prosperity that way

Interesting I followed Urlik's advice with Curaw, and although my prosperity is still poor and that I'm coming last in terms of being the most richest town (meh), I still get a decent amount of traders coming in and also about 750 for tariffs per week, and not only that that about 700 atm for rent.

So its not all bad, but it doesnt seem to bring the prosperity up :\, this does sound like a bug to me right now.

Not sure what else I can do, and still waiting for the guild master to gimme a quest...

Get TweakMB and change the frequency of the quests issued by Guild Master.

I tried that too, but it doesnt seem to work .

But its not too bad now, since the traders have come to my town once more. But its a bit sad I cant get my prosperity to rich .

what the rules dont mention is what are the causes of the two incomes from a town:

1) TAX (i know what this is but how to improve it?)
2) RENT (rent from whom, the people staying in the town? and again how can we affect this)

I also assume the  system dosnt actually use a population statistics of each town/village...

I've struggled with this as well and haven't really found a good way to fix it. I've kinda just started to assume that there a financial climate which goes up and down, as IRL, and there's not much you can do to affect that. Another thing is that if there's a war going on in that area, there may not be much trade going on. Caravans won't go there in fear of being raided, villagers won't go to town in fear of being attacked etc. Just wait it out and see if prosperity goes up along with the rest of the world. The news ticker often comes up with like 15 towns and villages where the prosperity has just risen a level and it seems to be mostly in one area of the world at the time, so I'm assuming my turn will come.

Yea thats the annoying part, and its partially mentioned on certain things but Rent I seem to be consistent, its the tariffs which fluctuate quite a bit, one report says 1000 denars, another report on the next day says 300 denars :\.

Yea you are right woofty, I recently took Reyvadin and recently noticed it went down from average to poor though I suspect that King Yagrolek wasnt doing a good job in the first place since most of the time I went in there to trade sneakily they barely had enough money from my trade of iron.

Curaw however is on the up and up and I feel that if your town is in the front line that they suffer, but again I dont know the formula so I am unsure of it all. Though I am making a pretty sum of money in Reyvadin.

Curaw has gone back up to Average, and noticed that I am getting much more money in curaw due to tariffs but it varies very much to 1000 denars to 100 denars :\.

So not sure how the Tariffs work exactly, and why It keeps going up and down.
