For this game's own good, I hope Taleworlds doesn't take months to fix this issue...

The game ends after 400 days. That's like watching the first 15 minutes of a movie before it suddenly ends, skipping the next 2 hours of the story.

Playing in a world where there is only one monolithic super-faction is a total deal breaker.

Im also snowballing right now with the Southern Empire. The Aserai didnt even stand a chance. Although my Queen just become a prisoner of some forest bandit, didnt know how that happen though.

I just made an account here literally just to add my little contribution to getting this fixed. The fact that it can be reproduced in almost every single campaign for almost every single player changes it from being a significant balance issue that can be ironed out after more pressing crashes and such are fixed to being literally top priority.

There are some fairly simple band-aids they could throw on the problem like temporarily disabling lord defections. I'm confident that Taleworlds will do something along those lines considering how quickly they reacted to the workshop issue, and they were pretty heavy-handed about it at that.

Not at all. Top priority should be performance. Then it should be multiplayer matchmaking ranked system. Then whatever else.
Personally I think snowballing is #1 issue. I have no issues with performance, but I expected it to be more optimized.

The thing is already implemented. Namely the Army cohesion should act like a timer for how long a certain army can operate at the cost of your influence. However this mechanic (like all the other mechanics) is more than broken, so the ai lords can go on an endless campaign.

I found out when I created my own army, that you can add +10 army cohesion at 0 cost or without any delay. Making it possible to go on endless campaigns.

i've noticed garrrisons are just too small right now to fend off the armies and army groups. easit temporary fix would be to double garrison sizes or triple them for now until better tweaks can be made.

Have to fix companions complete lack of progression -27 hours in game and not a single upgrade from my companions, in fact my character is 35 years old now and not a single point I have been able to give anyone. This and the snowballing effect will blow out my will to continue to play.

The southern empire is on a roll in my game too. They now control a third of the map. It is only a matter of time until they control it all. My party consists of 12 Vlandian knights and two companions. It's not like we can stop them.

I agree, maybe also have lords prefer to stay at home during winter time (aka not campaigning season)
This is just not realistic. Like the Sturgians are known to be winter fighters. It would instantly break sturgia. I can accept it for other factions to be harder or take more attrition during winter. This would make the game more realistic and offset the useless Sturgia bonus of having 20% speed on snow (which is also broken and not working)

I guess a typical wargoal could be to take a specific castle or city. Fabricating the claim could be done automatically by the AI factions randomly on neighbor factions taking 30 days to do. Claims could also be given to claimants for king throne etc (giving claim on whole Kingdom maybe or capital region) for the player they could do some action or mission to generate the claims.

On peace treaty it should be possible to take more land than the claim, but then all other factions in the game will get a free claim to take all your land from you (making all factions go to war with a faction which takes more land) also all cities and such make no tax/income before a peace treaty is signed. After a peace treaty there will be a 30 days truce (Or longer depending on how much is taken)

Fabricating claims is actually a good idea, and the player can go on quest to do this... or start in motion a border ravage claims because caravans got harrassed etc.

I had a game where sturgia would lose a war and go on a rampage declaring wars on all other factions while losing its current wars...

Small, poor. unimportant castles shouldn't have big standing defending armies, the same should apply to poor towns.. In a war these would just be swallowed by the passing army without a fight. The real fights were always stopped at big forts or important / rich cities... and from there pushing the enemy back or retreating even further...

Well, i did some testing. It seems that when lords run out of money they wont recruit any troops. I gave one lord of the Aserai (That had been in same castle for 100+ days) 50K cash in trade and she instantly went out of the castle and started recruiting. So the problem is, that once they run out of their starter money (What was around 20k i think??) they will not recruit anymore and just wait to be captured and killed in the random castle.
I appreciate it.

My game was fairly balanced for a while, with a couple of factions trading cities. Now the southern empire is taking over. There is no stopping them!!!

Can you explain the kingdom snowballing? What do you mean?

The lords of the northern empire get together for a large snowball fight every year. While they are frolicking in the snow the southern empire takes over the entire map.

Problem is; when a lord defeated he stars from zero troops. At least they must spam with 40-60 soldiers (with balanced) than enlarge their armies. İı saw some lords captured by looters.
Both towns and castle sohuld have better and more garrisons. 200 people against an invading army of 600 is unbalanced.

I noticed there's like an 100% chance you catch enemy lords in this game if you knock them out. TW should consider tuning that rate down to 25-50% even if the lord is knocked out.

It would also certainly help if AI Lord and Kings spawned with some strong unique family/clan units along with retainers that way at least you won't see kings getting captured by bandits so often.

could hardly agree with you less performance is fine for most people and campaign is the main part of a mount and blade game multiplayer comes 2nd
and this problem very much ruins singleplayer completely

Wouldn't say it's a top priority, but it's definitely an issue. Hope this catches their attention as I've been having the exact same problem despite being a mercenary to attempt to counter the absolute dominance.

Guys chill - we are two days into early access and so far have had a patch a day! This will clearly be on TW agenda - also the fact that it's not the same faction everytime is good to hear - sounds like the factions are balanced per say; just snowballing of the one that gets advantage.

TW can and will fix this. Just give them a moment.

Also this doesn't seem to happen every playthrough - in my game the western empire are almost gone but everyone else is pretty balanced.
