My problems with the campaign start

I think that you want a different game. The main strength of the Mount and Blade series is not the campaign map but the battle simulations. The map is just a way to put structure to the war. If you are not going to be a warrior you may need to be looking for a different game.

I don't think that's too much equipment to have by the age of 30. If the character started younger I think you would have a point but 30 year old 1000 and some equipment isn't too much in my opinion

Not to mention that you are part of a family. It's not like you have been orphaned in young age and had to acquire everything yourself.

Some of those problems might be solved by the fact that the only mode we have is the story mode. Taleworlds said that they would release a proper sandbox, but that would come later. I assume this would be without the story of your character, and with you being able to join existing clans rather than just getting your own.

That said, would be nice to have an option for starting out really poor. I usually did that in Warband and its mods.

I didn't know the player is supposed to be 30, why is he that old? In medieval times that was really old already.

Due to the story mode I believe. Askazzan said above I think there will be a way of starting younger and with other options later on.

But when? I will probably not start a real game until I have sandbox and these other options.
