My PoP mod seems to be changed?

So, I have very little idea about how these mods work, but I understand that the game gets the mod information from the modules directory, so in my mind, what is happening should be impossible.

My PoP game has taken on characteristics of other mods and I havent redownloaded any new version in quite a few months. Whats happening is that the music for one has changed - I've gotten some music I am pretty sure is part of the 1257 mod along with my normal pop music - mainly battle music.

Also, the tactics employed by the AI has suddenly become what I see in Brytenwalda - Send cavalry in first, or archers and hang back with the rest until "first blood".

Is the above possible, or am I missing something completely obvious? I've noticed the Brytenwalda music is in other mods as well, unless I close M&BW down and restart the mod as well from time to time.

Anyways - any help or insight appricited

Very odd behavor. You're right to think that it should be impossible.

In your Modules folder of Warband you have all the mods separated in their own folders, right?
(For example you have a folder in let's say D:\Program Files (x86)\Mount&Blade Warband\Modules\Prophesy of Pendor 3.42 and one that is
D:\Program Files (x86)\Mount&Blade Warband\Modules\Native, and one folder named Brytenwalda, etc)

Maybe you could link in a screenshot of your Mount&Blade Warband\Modules window.
Did this behavior start after any WB patch update?

Interesting...sounds similar to something I had happen once in another mod.  I was playing Blood & Steel and I noticed that I was hearing PoP music.  It only happened the one time, though.  Was almost as if the game had loaded the wrong music.txt file.

There's a 98% chance I'm just talking out of my ass here, but is it possible the game could store the initialization data somewhere and clears it each time a new mod is loaded up?  Perhaps if all the data isn't cleared, it uses the last information used to initialize the game?

Only if some recent WB update has strange side-effects and tries to optimize by saving recent music pathnames. Highly unlikely, hallucinations seem more probable.
It could happen if you copied the PoP music folder to the WB music folder.
These are separate, e.g.:
C:\Warband\Music
C:\Warband\Modules\(mod)\Music

I didn't update the game after 1.43 on purpose which makes the error even more strange - And yeah, all directories are separated in the Modules directory.

My M&BW isn't even steam so its not it can self-update.

So, its not something that should be possible, meaning its probably something I did i guess? Perhaps its time reinstall!

well i seem to have something similar the music in brytenwalda have been changed to that from PoP

How is your computer running? Some times computers can get a little confused if they're struggling (a bad hdd, lack of memory) and get files mixed around. For example, when suddenly all your icons change at seemingly random.

maybe my problem is because of a lack of memory but it's not really a problem because i like the PoP music
