Hey there, I'm new on this gam, but I'm old at Middle-Earth Melee games.
I hope I help some people with my tactics for M&B:
On foot, sword, against horsemen with every weapon except spear. Basicly I just want for them to come, while preparing a left or right swing, then jump and hit them on the body. I was lv4 with a hunter, and the hunter was doing 50 damage with two-handed sword against horsemen in the arena.
Riding a horse - I use a long axe or sword, a shield and a bow. Use bow when you are far away, then ride the horse near the enemie (shield bloking if there are any long range attackers) and slash the hell out of them at full horse speed. Works better with axe, it cuts through the shields. Does more damage with sword, if they dont block. Normally 30-40 damage with axe, 40-50 with sword, with 9 points strength.
For long range attackers against horses - Try to aim at the body, so they die and let you steal their horse
Try to aim at the head, my best score was knocking down a guy with 2 headshots in like 30 seconds, while he was riding a horse.
Long range attackers against onfoot melee troops - If they get close to you, prepare your bow and when they open defence for attacking you, let go the string (point to their head!), it will be headshot (40+ damage)
Long range attackers vs long range attackers - Aim and pray
Again, I hope this helps
