My max army size going down... Sanjar Kahn with 400+ men...

Can anyone explain why this is happening?  I think the max army is based on leadership and renown, right? 

Is my renown always going down slowly?  It goes up very quick when I'm at war, but I've just said "yes" every time a faction has asked for peace.

Also, I can understand that the other characters in the game get stronger just like me (leveling up), but Sanjar Kahn has about 430 men!  (It's day 1250 or so?)

How bad does it get?

It is likely he got some of those men by freeing a large group of prisoners from a castle siege somewhere. I have some normal lords with 200+ because of this.

Just make sure to take out an all-elite army if you're going to go fight him .

Renown does decrease rapidly the higher it gets, you have to keep fighting or doing tournaments to keep it at a decent level. I've had the same problem during peacetime, which is when I lose most renown -- but note that you only lose it if you haven't had a battle in a few days. If you have been battling regularly and it keeps decreasing, it could be a bug.

The best solution for peace time morale drop is to simply garrison the army and go around Calradia with your super powerful companions (which at day 1250 you must have) and fight bandit armies larger than you as you can get some nice renown.

I never really understood feasts except for meeting Ladys. I heard something about talking to the host, etc? I don't know.

If you throw a feast you get a buttload of renown, and relationship increases with the guests that join in if you talk to them, apparently.

Thanks all.  I actually am my own king so there are lots of times I do more trading than fighting. 

I garrison all but about 35 guys and run around with about 40 guys and kill everything.  I almost never lose anyone, but the enemy often has more numbers than I do.

If you keep on kissing a lord's behind and do the training quest over and over while keeping him out of combat you'd see that lords has no hard cap on troops whatsoever. Same to prisoners. I've seen ones with 60+ prisoners in his army before.

2. Throw feast
3. Wait for everyone to turn up, write down their names
4. Go to your minister, indict everyone who didn't turn up of treason
5. ????

Um... That could kill your kingdom if alot of lords don't show. The reason they don't show usually is cause they don't like your. If they're Honorable there relationship with you (if your honorable) will go up over time. Anyone who doesn't get a relationship boost from your honor should be kicked from your army tho.
