Well, been playing this game for a while now, bloody fantastic. But, i'm turning my attention to modding. And everyone always says to me, the best way of learning is doing. So while i'm learning, i'm making my on mod. Anyone wishing to help me with it is welcome to do so, see what turns out of this. I'm using my own kind of fantasy basis to make things more interesting. Let me tell you about it.

Factions
-Humans
-Elves
-Goblins-(bandits)
-Orcs
-The Reborn (think undead)
-Mountain Men (think tall dwarves mixed wth Scotsmen)

Setting
Not sure of the map yet, will endeavour t draw one soon.

I made a quick start on things, two early models of weapons.

pm me if you are interested. And don't forget to give credits.

Because to be brutally honest i don't want to. I'v got it all loosely planned. gameplay changes will defintely come alot later. I can't see any hugely drastic changes being made to the gameplay being made for at least a month or so.

Best way of doing it indeed.

Best reasoning ever. Make sure to follow tutorials and the like, and don't be afraid to ask questions in the forge. I'd be very happy to answer questions if you have any aswell, but I'm not terribly good at anything. (More like a bit below mediocre, and only because many people have been great helps.) This thread will probably be useful to get started aswell. Good luck!

Some Modders already know how to mod before...

Trust me mate, coding is something that is done at the end of a peak of a learning curve, you have to learn to walk before you can run.

Yes actually it is a San Andreas RIP, i was using it as an example for modding. Skinning, as i call it, can be applied to differant games, merely showing an example of what i'm learning to a younger audience. But if you want me to go out, spend a tenner, just to re-skin some models, and then uninstall it and then never use it again, i aint interested.

Who hasn't indulged in a bit o' piracy here and there? who doesn't torrent eh? give the guy a break ^^
