i finally managed to establish my own kingdom(sided with istiana) and then I conquered 2 castles and made peace with my enemies(sturgians) 2 or 3 minutes later my kingdom(the kingdom i rule BTW) declared war to northern empire and after that the battanians. What is going on? Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?

I think i read this was a tool tip error,

Empires declaring war on you were being mis-stated as "you declaring war on them"

I may have read this in the "known issues" post

Oh I see rhagae wants war then hop on your horses bois we shall give them some

It does seem the mechanics of war are a little heavy handed, but I see why they must be to some degree. I remember supporting the Kuzait that I would anticipate "Now as I conquer this final castle I'll have to immediately run north because we'll declare war to balance everything out". It was like clockwork. I haven't tried starting my own kingdom (going to wait on a second playthrough for the final game), but I imagine it's tough starting out with that mechanic because you probably can't be at peace really.

It is not a bug, it is quest related, Istiana / Arzagos conspiring against you.
This is why you see as you are started war but actually Istiana or Arzagos started war.
Everytime you fail to thwart these conspiracies Istiana's / Arzagos' conspiracy strength will grow.
If you can manage to thwarth most of them, then you can have some time to complete the way you chose (Unify the Empire, Create Kindom, Support Kingdom, Support Faction etc.)
In my case I got Stop Conspiracy quest 5 times, failed first two but thwarted last three.

Stop Conspiracy quest only stop coming again if you can complete the way you chose in limited time. Otherwise this quest will appear endlessly. (ppl say given time is 10 years but, dont look the days passed, look your age).

If you manage to complete the way you chose too then Istiana / Arzagos will make a bigger move and you will start war against more than one kingdom at the same time.

And you will not be able to make peace with them until you made them weak by capturing their big settlements.

(Making field battles, capturing castles or raiding villages gives so little advantage, you have to capture settlements/cities asap otherwise you I bet no one manage to fight with 3 well growed kingdoms..)

(Yes game selects most powerful kingdoms to fight against you at the same time, it is really crazy..)

By the way these are 3 seperate quests, you dont need to end all 3 kingdom same time, you have to focus on one and only defend against others.

(Which is I'm doing now and I'm close to end Khuzait, in the meantime Vlandia and Aserai took some of my castles unfortunately but I'm defending cities well bcz they are most important.)

It is really hard and I cheated a bit to be honest, otherwise I never could be able to manage to come this further. (First time I'm playing M&B games)

Edit: Minor corrections.

I am interested in how you stopped the conspiracy quests. I can't find anyone to talk about them. Looking online, every post or article or youtube video says there is no way to stop them, it isn't in the game yet.

For me the quest titled "Arzagos's Conspiracy" still continues because of the BIG spoiler explained above.

If you mean "Stop Conspiracy" quests which I thwarted 3/5, this is where I said I cheated. Developer Console mod has a command to complete any quest.
campaign.complete_active_quest Stop Conspiracy

Me too can't find any info earlier when I searched, but I figured out myself to pass these quests with cheating. Maybe my BIG spoiler is first on the web IDK. I never see anyone talking about what I mentioned above...

Edit: Minor corrections.

Edit: It was not big, it was preview image LOL. Fixed.

I just got Stop Conspiracy quest again. So, a new random war with, a kingdom I'm in peace now, waiting for me. ?

Earlier I forget the fact I need to complete "Arzagos's Conspiracy" to end "Stop Conspiracy"s coming again and again and so I stated it ended but, in fact it is not ended yet as you can see.

It is not seem bugged to me, but it is a bit overkill, almost impossible to achieve without cheating. I will do what I did earlier and we will see what happens next.

I'm eager to complete BIG SPOILER quests just to see will it also trigger "Arzagos's Conspiracy" to complete or will it just give me another harder quest. :geek:
