My Husband is Retarded

I started a female character and married one of the Sarranid Lords. After I was conquered piece by piece from the Khergits I tried to chose the option to give a castle to my husband. Shortly afterward I was gating support for my husband...when I asked my husband who he would support he wouldn't even support himself or let me support him. This guy doesn't have any lands and my relation with him is 100.

He is clever: when they give you a fief you have the message "accept or decline if you accept you will have to wait a lot of time before the next fief". So he declined the castle because he wanted a town!
