I married Mochun's daughter, he thinks I'm an awesome guy. Everytime I encounter him he says that his heart is filled with joy at my presence... then he gives the order to attack. Why doesn't influence effect this man?! Hopefully in the future it will make more sense in making peace with lords based on influence/affection/etc lol

Your influence is useful for kingdom decision.
For your relation, if it's high enough during the parley he may agree to stop his attack ( at least if it's like in Warband! )
