My final verdict

it feels kinda hilarious that people say they wasted their money on Bannerlord when they have played the game for hundreds of hours clearly getting their moneys worth.
I don't think this argument counts for any M&B game. Its gameplay is addictive and also there is no other game which puts you on the battlefield while commanding an army. So the experience players get from this franchise is something unique while this also does not mean criticism of the community is wrong, especially, when its predecessor Warband did somethings better than Bannerlord.

I would not call it waste of money because I gotta admit that I enjoy the game but surely it is still a disappointment for me.

I'd never say Bannerlord isn't worth the money to me, but there's seriously a whole hidden universe of things to be frustrated with that you'll never glimpse if you haven't put extensive and intensive time into playing bannerlord over it's many updates.

Yet another newbie with the overwhelming wisdom...

Ok, how long did you play the game? Have you ever considered that the true fans of the series played it for so long simply because they search for bugs in a beta branch? They play the game despite the game becomes so dull after some time. Can those people feel upset if another iteration of the game consists of the very same bugs, and some new ones... over and over again? Like does anybody remember 1.5.8 and how unplayable it was?! Can they also feel upset if the game doesn't have what was once promised?

Do everyone's favor and play it a little more and give yourself time before you judge.

There used to be many more white knights who would blindly defend TW, it took them 1,5 years for most of them to finally understand that people who were criticising since the EA launch were right. Mexxico met with some players on Discord, he made the points the "salty" people were making since launch and he basically confirmed there are major problems at management. We still see people going at it like "ohh but you're still playing it", yeah, when you want a lemonade and there's only one seller offering lemonade, it's the best lemonade you can get, it might be just water and sugar with artificial colours, it's still "the best" one you can get hence why I want and hope for competition in the future for Mount and Blade. Otherwise this series is doomed. They can ride on the old fans' backs only for so long. People will be more cautious towards games from TW now.

The white knights for the first few weeks of this game were horrifying lol. The only time I've ever seen a dev actually communicate was when I had two of them message me and issue me a strike for wanting to bring down steam reviews because this game at the moment doesnt deserve an "overly positive review" more like mixed. Seriously 100,000 review but how many actually play currently? Maybe 8-10k a day? Thats a massive drop off

Nah, 16k actually and that's concurrent so more players play than that but Bannerlord Online and SP mods are the main factors why playerbase managed to be kept around 15-20k, otherwise it was obvious the numbers were going down, at some point I was seeing peaks at 13k and below. Shame. A proper Bannerlord would at least have it at 50k easily imo. It could be so much more.

A proper bannerlord....with mods

Wait they actually banned OP? I guess they better ban me aswell because I 100% agree with OP.
I guess all good things come to an end now more and more in this bloated and infested industry.

I guess in the end, TaleWorlds was the actual Bannerlord!

The mods on this forum are just as disappointed as the rest of us, maybe some even more so. I have also seen the conversion of many white knights who I argued with so long ago. TW has broken the M&B community's heart with its deception and failure. Hopefully everyone here has learned the lesson, and won't purchase another game from TW.

The next one could be their best one though. Most game series have one (or many) that aren't so good, but they can still make very good ones later.
What about SMB2 (USA)? What about Z2 The Adventure of Link? What about Dark souls 2?I like them but they weird

Were you gonna NOT buy bloodborne because you didn't like Das2? (not "you" you, a person in general who play games)

Most of the games that had a ****ty sequel didn't get a third installment. However ****ty sequels with spectacular sales might get another chance as the producers think their fans are idiots and would buy anything they make.

Funny thing is I'm usually the guy who still enjoys the "****ty sequels" (I'm the only person I know who enjoyed Dragon Age 2, for example) but this "****ty sequel" is one that I definitely did have not enjoyed.
