Yes.. prisoner is awsome. Couldn't make somthing like it these days. Average telivision viewer wouldn't get it at all..

I too have been to the place where they filmed it (Portmeirion in north Wales). If the prisoner could have been bothered to swim about 100 metres, he could have escaped, as there's a village on the other side of the river

Or at least seen it.    I saw one of the episodes, Chimes of Big Ben I think, where he escapes, and is being flown over the village in a jet, when the pilot ejects him from the plane.  I was going, WTF?! through the whole episode, LOVED it!

I've been to portmeirion too

I went to Portmeirion in the winter of 87. It was eerie as hardly any people were there but there were hundreds of cats everywhere.

It was like a scene for an old Hammer movie.I have some nice slides of the place.
