This forum isn't big enough to enumerate all my screw ups since june, and I play almost daily, but two recent events convinced me to bore you with them.
First one. Friday, Nov. 25. I´m playing Mag7 for .704 and have a rosary of quest to finish when I bump into a huge (120 devils) dark army. With only 70 guys on my side I would ussually turn tail and wait for a better opportunity to face the darkies but I noticed that a Sea Raider Chieftain was amongst them and decided to take the chance of finishing two quests at the same time, that being capture the dark general and the chieftain, so I plunged into battle. It took me almost two hours to defeat them suckers after several retreats and my force was reduced to 27 men but at last I got what I wanted, the general and the chieftain on the unconcious left slot just waiting to be transfered to my prisoner slots, but then the phone rings and the wife starts to bug me about some nonsense regarding school tuition for the kids and other minor nothings like food and gas money. I was trying to cope with that nuisance when inadvertedly I clicked the DONE button without having made the prisoner transfer!!
So I wasted two hours fer nothing I was so disappointed I deleted the character and started a fresh one.
Second one. Tuesday night, Nov. 29. With my new character I was doign pretty good and amongst the quest the 'capture swadian captain' was the one I was looking for the most. I found a swadian war party with its captain still alive, a rarity these days, and although they outnumbered me almost 2 to1 I decided to do battle. The fight was hard and long and the tricky part of completing this quest is being able to tell the captain apart from the other knights which is why I try and knock the lights out of every armor plated knight with pen faced helm. the thing is I finally got to defeat the enemy and capture the captain but I couldn't make him my prisoner *sniff again* because all my prisoner slots were full as well as those of the left side of the screen. In my haste to capture him I had knocked unconcious so many men of different class and rank that it was impossible to uncapture my prisoners in order to make room for the captain. So I had to slit his throat anlong with all his men. What a waste of good reward money.
After 5 months of adictive daily playing and forump roaming I thougtht I knew every trick, nook and crany of the game, but even blunders and screwups are appealling in M&B.
Man I love this game!
