I'd like to ask the designers of the game, or those who can answer this question: Can I add a new textures to the game, and how can I do this?
I don't want to change the old ones, I just want to add new.

It depends on what types of things you want to add. Currently I don't know how to add new models or their corresponding textures, however I do already have the basic layout of the files figured out. I'm not sure how textures are specified for models though, or in what files they're listed. I suspect that to add a shield with a unique texture, for example, you'd have to duplicate one of the shield entries and change some of the information.
