Keep in contact with SPQR. Updating your clan with the lastest wins/losses. etc... Its common sense, if you ask me. Its not rocket science.

1) SPQR made that post about the rule change on MAY 9, the game we played was May 28th.  That is ample time for one of your members to find out about the rule change.  He even held a clan meeting concerning the issue.  If you didn't make that, it is not our fault.  The post was made on public forums and confirmed later through private messages, so you have no excuse to not know about the rule.  You joined the tournament and have a responsibility to know when your matches are and what the rules are.  Communication could have been much better, yes, but I'm not in charge of that.  In fact, no one in nK is in charge of that.  Talk to SPQR.  But I'm he probably isn't going to post here after you all are making such a big drama issue out of this.  I don't even know why I'm posting here, other than out of some altruistic naive hope that we can settle this.


2) We told you about the rule change when you joined the server and gave you ample time to prepare.  I believe we started 20 minutes late.  After realizing that you weren't up to speed on the rules before, you could have agreed to play instead of complaining the whole game, or withdrew from the tournament if you don't like the rules.  Instead, you chose to complain the whole time.


3) We did not break the rules, we are following the rules, so your baseless accusations are pointless.


4) You could have brought more mercs, as you only fielded one.  Instead, you chose to play with less people.  We made the effort to organize, to get people to show up, to line up some backups.  You could have done the same.


5) This is a tournament, so no rematches.  If there is an issue, SPQR will call it.  Previously, I would have said that I would be happy to play Bks again once you can get a team of 10 (or at least together, as you have a good team, but after last night's mudslinging fest, I feel differently.  I am not the match coordinator for nK, but I see no reason to fight a clan that constantly complains, belittles, and curses us the entire game, then rages at the end.  I thought we were supposed to have a civil game, not some childish display of a total lack of discipline and self control.  You talk about respect; I don't see how anyone can respect you guys after last night.  Even Search, who always seemed like a pretty cool guy, was getting in on the raging.  I would expect such childish displays from KyKy, as he acts like an idiot even on public servers, but not the rest of you.  I only remember 1 Bks member who didn't.  We have server logs and screenshots of your disreputable behavior, but I don't see a need to post them here, as it will just escalate the drama instead of settling it.

Basically, reverse the situation. Would you be pissed if BkS did the same thing you did to them, to you? What would you do? Honestly now, don't give me that "We'd nicely ask them to switch from 10 to 6 players" bull****. I like nK, I really do, But I also like BkS. BkS gave US respect when we lost to them terribly (not even one round won out of 10) by using saddle horses and javelins (6v6). I've even personally heard Marnid/Orion say that when nK fights BkS, they come out on even terms. What this looks like to me is nK using this to their advantage.

nK would have known the rules and followed them, or decided to withdraw if we didn't know the rules were changed and didn't like them.  We wouldn't have raged the whole game and cursed and insulted Bks the entire match.  In fact, this might still happen to us today and Sunday, and we will play even if we are short on members, because we are going to follow the rules.

What would I have done? Honestly, I would have told them before the fight about the rule change. If they weren't at the meeting, they OBVIOUSLY don't know what the rules are beforehand. Why can't you just be the bigger clan and inform them of it? What was the problem about telling them the change? Can you give me any valid reason why you couldn't?

It's amazing how you just refuse to accept the fact that it's simply inane for us to be expected to PM SPQR every day and make sure he hasn't changed some rule. Maybe between matches, we should call him and ask him if he's changed any rule and posted it on his facebook. Perhaps we should send someone to his house to make sure he doesn't write something down on some other game forums we forgot to check (so our fault, right?) about the rules being changed.

Your argument is simply horribly flawed logically, and reminiscent of fear.
You, nor any nK, still have yet to address my point that nK could have, if they were confident enough they were better (that is the point of a tournament, correct?), sat 3. BkS doesn't blanket recruit like nK, I'm sorry, we have standards, which is why we've wiped the floor with you every scrim that's been even. We would never zerg you down in a tournament, because we'd want everyone to know we beat you fair and square because we're better, I'm sorry if nK is too afraid to meet us on even ground. That is what I'm upset at you about, and your child-like behavior of killing us as we were attempting to rectify the situation.

Yeah, people got upset. Who wouldn't when you guys were acting like pompous kids with a grudge to settle because you've been smoked horribly every other time you've met us? We were disgusted that you guys seemed to be getting some kind of sick satisfaction by finally "winning", if you can call it that, after we realized you weren't joking.

It's apparent the communication wasn't acceptable. It's not our obligation, like I said, to check with SPQR every 5 minutes to make sure the rules haven't changed. If they had, he could post them on the, once again, official thread, but he didn't. End of story.

Ah, you don't "feel like" playing us on even terms? You guys are a joke.
Also, calling us zerging? Not only am I the only one posting here in a sea of nK's, but you guys are the ones who refused to sit 3 when it was well within the rules to allow you to do so, to allow an even field. You didn't, and zerged us because you knew you had no chance at even numbers.

SPQR -- There wasn't a "falling out." The rules were either poorly communicated, or nK didn't follow them, one or the two. This issue needs resolving.

Honestly I believe almost everyone in nK would love a rematch with BkS, to see who is the better in an organized match with at least 8+ people. Our previous 4v4 pick upgames were completely unorganized spur of the moment decisions without our main players and without the use of our cavalry, nothing to brag over. However is it really worth the trouble of setting up a rematch if this is what happens over the slightest miscommunication? When we had our scrim with balion they were not yet informed of the rules, however the problem was settled easily with just a little more communication. I know my idea of a good fun and challenging match is not a giant flame war over the forums, or even worse being harassed from the very start of the match which starts 20 minutes later after I had to inform you of the tourney rules.

Our previous 4v4 pick upgames were completely unorganized spur of the moment decisions without our main players and without the use of our cavalry, nothing to brag over. However is it really worth the trouble of setting up a rematch if this is what happens over the slightest miscommunication? When we had our scrim with balion they were not yet informed of the rules, however the problem was settled easily with just a little more communication. I know my idea of a good fun and challenging match is not a giant flame war over the forums, or even worse being harassed from the very start of the match which starts 20 minutes later after I had to inform you of the tourney rules.

You show the server logs which only shows one side of the story, but it doesn't show your actual, physical actions in game as you kill us over and over while we're typing -- the server logs actually show us asking to allow us to talk as you kill us anyway. Your actions were just as disrespectful as any of ours, and you would be frustrated as well if we chose not flagrantly not follow posted rules. Your attempt at mud-slinging only further reinforces my belief that you have no interest of a rematch on fair terms at an acceptable level, you only want to distance yourself from the possibility. It was obviously nowhere near fair, nor was it a tournament match. The rules were broken, so how can a match be played?

Honestly I believe almost everyone in nK would love a rematch with BkS, to see who is the better in an organized match with at least 8+ people. Our previous 4v4 pick upgames were completely unorganized spur of the moment decisions without our main players and without the use of our cavalry, nothing to brag over. However is it really worth the trouble of setting up a rematch if this is what happens over the slightest miscommunication? When we had our scrim with balion they were not yet informed of the rules, however the problem was settled easily with just a little more communication. I know my idea of a good fun and challenging match is not a giant flame war over the forums, or even worse being harassed from the very start of the match which starts 20 minutes later after I had to inform you of the tourney rules.

Excuse me, I didn't take any fraps or screenshots of your totally disrespectful behavior of killing us as we typed, attempting to rectify the situation, because it wasn't my intent to mudsling you guys on the forums, it was my intent to fix the situation. It's obvious, with how hard you worked on so many screenshots and putting this together, that you guys were intent on just mudslinging from the get-go.

Guess we should have taken fraps of your disrespect. But then again, I don't know how that even enters the situation here.

The argument of "4v4 doesn't matter, but 8v8 does" is a bit silly.

You guys didn't follow the posted rules, nK has yet to win anything.

A 4v4 would matter, if it were organized and set up in advance. However a spur of the moment pick up game without our starting line up players doesn't. IMO. That would be like saying our nK practices are serious bznz and we should record all of the scores from them.

Obviously you're afraid of anything that doesn't involve zerging.

I'm sorry I didn't know BkS used 2 cavalry for scouting and taking out weak enemies in our previous 4v4s, and split up the teams into pre-planned groups for flanking. Oh **** never mind I am just copying you guys, sorry that I'm using an age old tactic. I should quit being an nK leader and match commander due to the fact that I'm using a super secret BkS strat.
