Muted ... For what?!

to be completely honest if Taleworlds keeps muting and banning good players without actual probable cause, then we're all just going to switch to Conqueror's Blade like the majority already have from the Captain mode clan community. Just saying it how it is
edit: they switched mostly cos of that trash patch that downgraded your game a few months ago, remember the one when you gave 2 handers shields and made archers completely useless for the entirety of captain mode.... There is now a skeleton crew amount of active clans (that patch was the main reason that they have all left). However now the few originals that do remain since release, who are waiting for 1.5.5 to be released are getting punished with mutes and bans for the stupidity of toxic players. Do you know what it's like to play a game for half an hour, carry some fools who are bottom of the board with barely any kills to 2-2 on the scoreboard only for them to throw a round by taking stupid unit choice or not play as a team or with the team. IT'S INFURIATING and that is why people get passionate in chat. Stop punishing your most loyal players, or you'll just lose what you have. I once had a guy on my team who stood in shield wall next to the same builiding every single round on purpose and refused to fight the enemy team, he completely threw the game for us and then because I told him what I thought of his actions, I got my first mute.... I just received what should be my third mute but instead I'm banned.

Yeah I guess I would say just don't say anything about any other players lol. If you say something on the forum about a poster or political topic do it only 1 at a time since it is a bit uncertain what will be moderated. If it gets a warning, oh well. But you don't want to go on a huge rant and get 3+ all in one sitting and get banned. Orion's post in that topic you linked made me 100% drop all expectations of useful moderation on the forums. If the criteria for harassment-moderation is the same as the legal qualifications for a criminal case of harassment in court (as implied by his post) then NOTHING anyone says on this forum will ever be harassment so why is it in the TOS? But it is in the TOS :

When I played MP I keep my ****ing mouth shut tbh because if there's something I want to say it's probably not very nice

I am glad the ban system is in place. People don't realise that as long as they don't overly swear, throw racial and homophobic slurs nothing will happen too them? It's not like the bans are just thrown in randomly after each report. THEY ARE BEING REVIEWED. Moreover since introducing the ban system there is a noticeable decrease in toxic behaviour on chat. Toxicity was an issue since beta and was ever growing since release up until the ban system!
We have a whole channel dedicated to collecting screens of salty and toxic behaviour for us all to laugh at in our clans discord and I need to say we actually lack salty content now! Previously we had plenty of toxic screens daily! Now sometimes there is a whole week without any toxic encounter. TW most definitely should stick to the policy regarding communication abuse bans. If it goes for teamkilling bans I strongly believe the logs represent if it happens mid big battle or at some random place... If the mod thinks ban is justified, I am gonna to believe in that. Instead of whining change your behaviour people!

I received a teamkilling ban for apparent sexist comment? I join a game and this clan are beating my team 1-0 and calling one of our players several toxic names and trash talking. Next round we destroy them barely losing any men and I say ''it's like fighting the girl scouts'' they obviously all reported me and I am now serving a 3 day ban for an apparent sexist comment. Seriously??? the ban system is completely flawed Mortine, a guy was threatening to commit suicide irl yesterday in one of the threads because his life is in the gutter, then to make matters worse for him he was banned for teamkilling in the ****ing warmup before game. A ban system is fine, if it used appropriately. Which it clearly isn't at this point in time. People are getting banned/muted left, right and centre for ridiculous things
Yes it's the main flaw of multiplayer strat games, the necessity to communicate leeds to people thinking they should be funny and or express themselves.
I mean we play games to get away from that human noise don't we?
I don't like the idea of automated bans just based on how many people report, but I don't know if that's actually how it works.
I do think there should be no global chat. Only teams need to talk to each other. ALlowing global just temps
talk, which if it's not 100% game tactics it's . Nobodies a comedian or a charismatic leader, nobody needs to listen to anyone's none game play .If I could I would mute the entire universe.

Now go figure out how to communicate in-game as a leader of the clan participating in Captains League when 3/4 of people already abandoned this game forever due to what it is ....

Disagreeing with the woke brigade's vision of history is also a fraction worthy offense in here. Honestly I am quite sick of that nonsense in this forum; especially when "moderators" actively engage in the piling on of the thought crime taking place instead of doing their job. It's laughable honestly.

Mods should be to the point, and then take an action. And then move on. Not flaming.
Threads like this one should be actually open to those who plays a lot and are involved in online competitions but got just muted before

Its not even that bad here. I got harrased by mods in Baldur's gate 3 and Crusader Kings 3 forums for almost no reason than expressing constructive criticism.
I think people now in the age of cancel culture are hostile to ANY little criticism and forget who is paying them salary via game buying.

I got muted because of a figure of speech. A COMMON figure of speech. The mods are either a bunch of language nazis drunk on power or lack the intelligence to differentiate between a figure of speech and threatening language.
I do not doubt that there are times where moderators are overly sensitive and need to grow some thick skin and deal with the fact that people aren't always nice on the internet. That said, people shouldn't be allowed to be assholes to each other.
