Muskets

Would it be possible to make a mod with muskets as I know nothing of mods, I think it should work as the really earliest war with muskets is the English Civil War and that could be a modded crossbow and pikes could be changed to suit the era, same to caverly. Also a Napoleonic wars mod would also be pretty much the same but with no pikes, overall better muskets and caverly, if anyone can make these type of mods I shall marry you on the spot.

No, which is likely the main reason no one has made a gun mod already, since choosing the charectaristics of the items takes only a few minutes.

Everyone just "WANTS" stuff without thinking. In mount and blade ATM if a missile or some other piece travels too quickly it will go right through the opponent without dealing any damage, and having FPS style Instant unlimited range muskets would be stupid and that would require coding of the game. Sure it would be nice to have muskets as a mod but we must remember that early muskets are very slow to use etc.

Well if I couldn't THINK about it as I said before I know nothing of modding and muskets don't have a long range. Even if they take a while to load, the enemy would have a musket so you don't have to worry about it pulling out an axe and splitting your head open.

Unless you'd want the muskets ammo to obey the laws of gravity like the arrows, the code needed would be very simple. But still, there'd be need for new code.

Pardon me? The British WON the Anglo-Zulu wars! The superiority of guns was shown at Rorkes Drift 140 men held off 4000 warriors in a little outpost and you can't say they would have won that without guns  although those sexy British redcoats probally showed that they had a superior fashion sense too 8) .

The main British achievement in the zulu wars was to actually lose a battle. None of the other colonial powers pulled that off.

Though the funniest thing with british military history would have to be the fact that the official history of waterloo was made up by who a guy who wasn't there and based his story on who gave him the most donations.
