Why play imitators and shallow pretenders?  There's only one mod that allows you to shoot people with dragons (early shotguns), then throw grenades at them, dismount and kill them with a well-thrown bwanga 

If you want history, there are only two mods that I can recommend:  Age of Change, simply because they have Zimke's work on art, and Brytanwalda, because it's obviously insanely detailed.

If you want a RPG with many stories, Prophecy of Pendor remains the gold standard.

If you want to use firearms and generally kick ass, play Blood and Steel.  You can use armies from the 10th to the early 17th centuries, and experience almost a millenium's worth of interesting and unique armies in a mod with a ton of unique features.  There's nothing else remotely like it.

The history in 1755 has been pretty solid as it has me (B.A.) and a graduate student in American history, Bearskull, helping out. I don't know about Blood and Steel because I have never played it but I am sure it is a fine mod. Let's not get into pissing contests. If people like the musket era they should try all of them out and decide which they prefer for themselves or be like me and not give a rat's ass as long as I have a good time which is, after all, what it's all about.

I know Blood and Steel very well, as matter of fact I was just indicating it as a nice mod to play to a friend and it was in my credit to best mods from day ONE!

Blood and Steel is still my son's favourite mod and often he asks to play it together, but I have no more time to even play 1755, just short testing and that s all.
I knew very well Xenoargh and thought he was a good modder and nice person

It dosnt work with 1.134, i had a lot of quits and stops during the game.
That was buggy with 1.132 also, i quess you didnt play that for a hour.
