multiple gates in castle/city

It always bothers me when I see that there are multiple useless gates in the city/castle.
Now the battle is over when you win at the main gate, but wouldn't it be awesome
if there are multiple levels to defend/attack in the city/castle then just at the main gate.
Is it possible to make more working gates in the city/castle?
 
you mean fighting in the streets of a city or castle? that would be cool. maybe have it that when the defenders retreat, there is a chance that they would rally to other parts of the castle/city instead. players would be able to fight in all the places of the settlement rather than just the gate. I mean, why would siege battles load the entire city if the battle is simply decided at the gates/walls?
 
I think that 2 different things needs to be implemented.

For Castles: a system where you can lvl up your castle to have multiple defense points. E.g. Second wall lvl.
Note the you must be able to give an order to tell your men which level of wall they need to protect.
But also as an besieger you should be able to get siege equipment up to that second wall/gate.

For Cities: it doesn't make sense to have multiple walls (this was very rare back in the day). There are some cities with inner keeps and even that was rare. What happend are long battles in the cities themselves where men need to fight for every district. So it would be nice to have some fighting in the streets. How this is implemented should depend on how large the city is. Normal size cities can put up some fights in the streets in the siege battle itself.
In larger cities it would be nice that after you take the walls the attack ends but you do not own the city yet. Then you need to wait 3 hours to let the men rest. And launch small attacks in the city to conquer district to get total control or a surrender of the city.

And last but not least if you are going to fight in city streets te combat order system need to change in order to do it properly. At the moment everyone is just rushing forward attacking like a mad men instead of in small groups/formation

exactly you got a whole city but the game doesn't use this. It would be amazing if you could use the whole city with fall back points or something similar.

It would be awesome if you have one final battle at the gates of the inner keep. Bannerlord has a lot of cities with an inner keep without a functional gate. Would be awesome if that would be the last defense point or something like that.

I don't think most people want there to be inner walls as that would make siege battle to grindy. what we want it is to be able to fight throughout the settlement. after siege battles I like to walk around the settlement and many times I see places that would be great fallback points for the defenders, but alas, they never use it.
