MULTIPLAYER?

Hello all!!!

I was wondering if there was a multiplayer version of M&B.
I think I read somwhere that there is bits and pieces of multiplayer action. i.e sieges, fights, etc...

But I was thinking if there was a complete multiplayer mod with a multiplayer world....
You know like U can become a king if u want to....etc have nobles (your friends) etc, options of being a mecenary, assasin, or even more uncommon, a merchant in Caldaria...or maybe another world

Anyone??

There is an expansion for MnB that will have multiplayer. But not in the way of what you think. It'll only be battles/skirmishes/sieges.

It's not coming out until like, a month or two.

Also, there won't be PvP areas, AFAIK. I assume it'll be (at least similar to...) looking through some servers and join it.

Just search for Warband, and read the hundred or so threads in existence about it. I thought I'd also mention that there is no release date and it isn't finished yet. So I highly doubt it'll be out the next month or two. More like November or December at the earliest.

If Mount&Blade ever goes on the mmo trend, I really hope it will be with players Perma Death. The only true way to play. Not like WoW.

More seriously : playing video games is fun (the original purpose of this activity), but mmo's are like working at a factory. So please no mmo version of the game, at least not without perma death.

Well, I do agree that it shouldn't be a MMO, but permanent death if it is? Who would buy a game and maybe even pay a monthly subscription just to get killed in the first fight and not being able to play it again?

He means having to start a new character when you die.

The expansion Mount&Blade: Warbands will include multiplayer. Essentially it'll just be your classic mulitplayer modes, deathmatch, etc. If you want more info there's an interview under News, at the top of the page.

i mean like monthly paying if its jsut like 30 dollars and u now have the expansion then that would be cool

I am assuming that there wont be any monthly fees since its not a mmo. Will be fun playing in deathmatch and sieges tho.

Yeah, monthly fees are only necessary if they're maintaining servers, like an MMO. Chances are they won't be, we'll be able to host our own servers.
