I just like how the greatest arguement in this thread is that "they're here and they're trying". Well, actually, they're not. I haven't even heard a word from the OP recently.

If this was an actual project, then you'd be right to tell the naysayers to leave. But because all that's happened is discussion, you can't tell people with a certain opinion to leave.

Like grailknight said. Where do we even start?

Either help or leave, thats what mod creation forums are for. Either help think of ways to possibly do, or just say the ways that have failed so they know where not to start. Don't just come in, flame its impossible, then whine when you get told off.

Ah, again.  Try reading posts before replying.

This is not a mod creation topic. Its a mod discussion topic. Until work is shown, I'll continue to express my opinion. In fact, if the mod maker and his team tells me to leave, I will by all rights leave. I wont', however, leave because you have a different opinion. I'm actually hoping to learn a bit about networking from the thread.

Perhaps I need to repeat myself:

In my mind, there are two "perfect games", A Freelancer MMO, and Mount and Blade with multiplayer.

You find a way to do the MB MP, and I would weep from joy.

Please stop accusing me of 'I JUST WON TEH VICTORY YOU TEH NUB LMOA!!!:!!:!""!"!"  Because I never said I won.  I only came here to serve my purpose of trying to make people bit more flexible toward people whom want to try and either success or fail at their goals of modding for Mount and Blade, no matter how small to epic it is.

Secondly, after looking at several MP mod team's posts, it appeared that they are already working on starting the mod itself.  In the given time, hopefully we will get to hear from them when they have started the mod successful or not.  (Crosses my fingers where I hope they success.)

Ok I have finaly skim read the rest of it and have 2 things to say. First of all eagle, when you make quotes can you delete the stuff you don't need or you just end up repeating everything someone has said.
Secondaly, the mod's "spearhead" (I cant remember your name) can you answer some questions? Or rather can you answer Cymru's questions becuase asking people to jion the team without answering these is just annoying. And it might be a good idea to make a new thread (mabye not) once you have answered some questions becuase this one is full of too much stuff.

Now more people bring negative here...  And you calling my statement 'bull****s' ?  That is your opinion, each of us are entitled to our own opinion.  I dont care if people think Im a bull****.  As long people stop bring negative and insults to MP modder team for trying a very diffcult modding, i dont care if people want to keep insulting me or make fun of me.  So many people here alway use quotes, in order, to acknowledge other posts and would reply that quote.  If you dont like the way I quote people, it also applies to everyone else whom have been using quotes, especially you since you quoted me just right now.

And secondly,  the modders of MP mod team will answer these questions in given time... Constantly demanding the questions after so much of insults and bull****s (yes I call people's insulting people' bull****s') have been thrown on this thread will not get you the answers suddenly!  So if you want to see the answers, you will have to wait.

Just to make it totally clear for l3asu, Ampersand, Banelion  and maybe some others.
I meant that such a trifle (in comparison with reverse engineering of a well-protected system) like EULA didn't stop people if they really had ability to create MP for M&B.

Not everything would answer in your time.  And that is why word 'patience' existed.  Each of us alway have to wait for answer from other person in their time.  No matter if you demand answers in this forum, look around you and see the situtation this forum is in.  That si why I highly doubt you'll get sudden answers, so its best if we wait for the answers patiently.

And about a person jumping from toe to moon, thats like comparing apple to oranige.  These are done phyiscally and this is about coding which is different thing.  Keep calling me or my statement name all you want, I dont really care of any negative thing you say about them.

From reading this thread, it seems you find pretty much just about anything to be insulting.  You are a very idealistic person. Some people are more practical types.  A lot of people that posted here are only providing a practical analysis of opportunity costs of attempting this mod. However, you respond to them in a very volatile fashion like an angry man.

You seriously need to relax more. Maybe go to a spa or something. If you act the way you do here in real life, you will have problems with your relationships in the future, such as with your children and wife.

This statement is a lie. According to previous posts by you, you respond in a very volatile way to anything that can be percieved by an insult in the most remote fashion. You don't remember telling me you want to punch me in te face? What if you were having a face to face argument with your wife, and you felt like punching her in the face? In the latter case, there won't be the invisible barrier of the internet from stopping you. If you really don't care, then act like it. Keep it cool.

Would it be so hard to not have your e-**** sizing competition in here? It was (barely) understandable at first, how people either bash or protect I3asu and his idea, but now you're just arguing amongst each others for the sake of having the last word, it's ridiculous. really.

I want to know the progress of the mod, not that of the war going on amongst the handful of members (pun not intended) sizing up (this one is) their arguments for the sake of arguing.

You guys should toss up some ideas for discussion. Start with small elements or whatever element you think should be the first that need to be achieved. Start small and focus. Get something to start with. For example:

- I will focus this mod on quick battle or arena only.

- For quick battle: I need a script to allow me to choose faction, equipment, upgrade equipment, troops. Set limit to the amount of money I can spend on equipment and equipment up grades. Set the amount of money I can spend on troop. Set the max party size.

- Can you achieve 2 players style (on the same PC) game?

I agree with you, its best if we start discussing the suggestion about how should MP mod start with.  If I remember correctly that the leader of this MP mod team are discussing with his friend whom is appeared to be experiencec coder.  He was stating that he is working on Arena or small battle first with his team.  So since you said that they should start with arena or quick battle first, so if we could talking about how should it be done, it would be a great start.

Ah!  Maybe you should start understanding the different between normal insults/negative or crossing red lines where you got into my personal life.  It's best if you not bring this up otherwise there will be another explosive of rage arguement.  I dont take it easy on whoever want to get into my perssonal life into arguement.

And Secondly, you said "If you act the way you do here in real life, you will have problems with your relationships in the future, such as with your children and wife.", I will have to tell you to get hell out of my life.  I never had a problem with my girlfriends I had before and I rarely had any problems being around anyone I know or didnt know.  you dont even personally know me and I alway said its never wise to self-assume thing on your own.

And NOW, the reason why I sometime act like I am being bit brutal on the debates is becuase of the way community treated the modding team whom wanted to start with a very vivid idea which seem impossible.  Of course, it seem impossible which is true.  But after I saw several people joining that MP modder team, it have somewhere convinced me that they are making a choices to do the most diffcult modding ever.  And then suddenly, poeple bought in many negatives and insults aparts from critical information of course.  However, when people began to try their hard to discourage these MP Modder from starting thsi mod where they clearly really wanted to start doing this mods, that is when I came in.  It is truly best if we stop trying to discourage these modders as I have already said it many time because they made up their mnid on this where I have seen it in them.
