Multiplayer is dying a slow death

I tried to do some siege mode and it seems you either disconnect right away or the game server crashes before the match concluded. Very frustrating
 
The spawn system is getting more obnoxious day by day, Im also not a fan of the missing friendly fire with all those brainless enemy mobs running towards you, constantly swinging their weapons into their teammates faces, hoping to occasionally hit you. There's no duel server to improve, chambering is too hard to be valuable in combat

I'll be taking a break for now until major issues have been (hopefully) fixed
 
I think it's going pretty great. Captains mode is my favorite. Getting Into matches is pretty fast now to. My only issue is the servers crashing but that's mostly during siege.

None of my clannies wanna play siege because the wait times are 20 minutes and it always crashes

Also the other side when it's your teammates hugging the guy you are fighting so all your attacks bounce off them, then you get killed by that guy's random panic swinging.
 
I think warband's combat is better (3k+ hours mp) than Bannerlord's by a lot. In BL, some of the two handed swings are extraordinarily fast; combine that with the fast sideways movement speed and you are left with two handed players running in circles without blocking trying to spam swing at their opponent. That would't fly in warband.

I know this is early access, so as far as the servers are concerned, I am not too upset with the lack of private servers and the other headaches; however, If TW wants to keep a strong mp community, should eventually get these private servers up and keep the playerbase up to date.

I think there is hope for this game though. I had alpha access back in august and the game was simply terrible. It has come a long way but still needs a long way to go. Let's just wait and see what happens.
 
To add my 2 cents, one of the main issues is that there is no progression system. There's nothing to unlock and therefore no sense of reward. Also the factions seem unbalanced. Battania sucks.

I can tell you what happens the community makes a better version of native (once server files release) and no ones gonna play the crap TW gives us. Thats why we dont have server files, because they are afraid of that, at least thats my guess.
 
My deepest wish rn is that TW reimplements their final big feature which is block delay that we know from the beta and finishes the work of destruction. I can no longer watch how they are deceiving people with the unspoken promise of making this game good while everything just speaks for itself - the game was broken and contrived from the very beginning in almost every aspect, what do you want to fix? It needs to be scrapped and reworked completely. Their vision or lack of vision is obvious, how can one think that they intend to create a competitive muliplayer with such abominations as block delay mechanics which they tried to implement twice already! and im sure they will do it again. GL with fixing balance if after 8 or 9 or more months of beta (and alpha) they couldnt fix the match making that at the realease had all the issues that were known and reported months before. Such lazy and stubborn attitude deserves no credit. I hope TW gets what they were working for for the past years and months. They are blind and deaf for any constructive criticism that is meant to help them with creating successful successor to Warband so let them continue with implementing all their abortive ideas to this already broken game and let them see it die, just so some modders can finally fix everything that is screwed up and revive BL with some module that will prove how easy it was to give majority of players what they wanted.

Yeah, that need some tweaking.

Whats a comp mode? You mean Co-Op mode? That would be awesome! We all know that this is M&B series enthusiasts' biggest dream?

Not really, this game is mods and mods are this game.

I agree, a progression system would be something new. Although Battania is based on Celtic cultures, such factions were lame in previous versions too. Compare wild guys running naked to armored Vikings or a mounted knight.

Ahhh, what?! Do you mean a block cooldown or a delay after pressing RMB? Both ways sound like a joke, but the first one would be the final nail in the coffin for this game.

Basically when you press block it takes a second or so to actually block leading to you having to predict when to block while warband was incredibly fluid

depending on where your weapon is it can take to long to get a block up and you die, if i am doing a right swing and realise their right swing will hit before mine, i left block but the animation takes to long to get their and you die.
 
so you are clicking block at the right time but your character isnt, it feels clunky and extremely annoying because you are blocking but not in-game.

It also encourages not to use skill mechanics like holds, feints, chambers and the such since most of those even if you block you are usually to late. The best way to fight now is attack block attack block which is insanely boring

But attack block attack block is skill based no? Not with a shield but just with the weapon itself. Its skill and reaction time. Reaction time with blocking should be faster than attacking. Its take more time to wind up an attack than it is to block the incoming swing (in real life). And punishing players for playing defensively by implementing a block delay sounds bad. Everybody will just go on swing rampages, they'll be no incentive to block.
