I have to say the comment is pretty bold considering facts say otherwise. If taleworlds didn't care they wouldn't have had a 9 months beta
 
Or maybe Mount and Blade isn't meant for traditional multiplayer. I've been saying it since day one. Not on here, of course, but it's been my stance. Mount and Blade is a realistic game. Realistic games don't usually do well as competitive multiplayer games.
Then what's the point of even making a multiplayer OMEGALUL

They made a competitive mode for a reason???? One of the longest lasting things about Mount and Blade has been its loyal MP.

this killed me. surely, SURELY nobody can watch this and think they are looking at an even remotely balanced game? tork...

what confuses me is that the guys from TW are mentioning classes as an easy to balance thing, are talking about dealing with snowballing, want to make a competitive 6v6 game mode, have stated a greater interest in better-looking competitive play, yet simultaneously ignore balance recommendations from good players. and yes I say ignore, because I mentioned how OP glaives and menavlions were on horseback last JULY, 9 months ago, on the relevant class threads and received NO reply and no fix. we’re now at a point where everyone has seen how broken they are and has started using them. the worst part is, their strength comes from fundamental issues in the damage calculation formula - it’s a much harder fix than many of the other very simple ones we’ve been asking for.

also tork, Battanian cav aren’t great by the standards of other factions, but it’s still easy to roll everyone on skirmish with it. cav needs to be fixed and I seriously recommend TW either read some of the many cav balance threads by good competitive players or contact someone like Shema or Kawaii and ask directly their thoughts.
 
I can understand that their main focus is singelplayer. We're not even asking for perfection. A bunch of the current major issues can be fixed by 2 people that care about MP within 1 or 2 days. They can let the community help if they're overwhelmed. The problem with the classes (that everyone can use every weapon at the same level) f.e. comes from the attribute values being stupid. Sturgia Archer has like 15 riding skill. Provide a proper list of each classes stats and every weapons required attributes points (MP only) and we can fix that for them within 2 hours. Might not be perfect but it'll be an improvement. Adding a maximum couch duration, a cooldown for it and a higher rear up hitbox (spears) is probably an easy fix. Reducing the effectiveness of sucsessfull directional shieldblocking by 50% is most likely just 2 buttons.
Instead they're focusing on a new 1 life gamemode that I won't say is unwanted, but doesn't fix any problems. If anything it'll make them even bigger because dying after being onehit by a 2h cav means you're out of the round and lead to even more frustration and balance issues.

Other games do the same. In fact they got their own discord where devs balance the game out with a group of players (proplayer, content creators etc.) Just to name a few mordhau, aoe2. Mordhau even has devs on the modding discord, they sometimes help modders out if they get stuck or got questions.

after watching the videos with menavlion\glaive i would say that 1 life gamemode will make a lot of people RQ the mp forever

Didn’t know you could throw a rock at 75 meters, or tank a 2h axe hit because you have an armor, or win a hideout battle because only 9 men can go in the battle, or stay a foreigner when you just won a tourney in a city, or climb ladders with horses, or build your fief in one day, or having looters walking faster than a guy riding a horse, or infs leaving a massive trail of dust because they are faster than horses, or even freeze every time you draw a weapon. So much realism yes. Oh and also you can go through trees in most maps. I know there are a lot of maps in the game (lol) so they couldn’t all be tested but funny bug.

50 vs 20 TDM. Team Balance?- No, it's an Alpha or what? The 50 man Team is blocking the entrance, the 20 man team is being destroyed.
I'm so done, a shame i can't refund because i bought over Taleworlds and have ,,20 Hours played'' because the launcheropened a night.

ah yes I forgot that nugget, we had autobalance in TDM all the way through the beta. Early access comes and they REMOVE THE ****ING AUTOBALANCE. So now as soon as Sturgia comes around in TDM it's not even funny how outnumbered you are because no one gives a **** when they are swinging a 2 handed axe around.
 
Reading this thread causes severe brain damage, especially Tork's mental rubbish.
He is the equivalent of the kid asking for a 1v1 on Rust in CoD back in 2010.

Surely no one is dumb enough to derive conclusions on balance from matches against random newbies? I mean, you guys are just jesting, right? I mean, it's the same as if shema joined a random battle server in Warband, killed a bunch of noobs, made a video of it and then posted it on the forum claiming that the class he used to beat them up with is OP. I'm pretty sure you wouldn't take shema seriously, right? Right?

If he would take any weapon and onehit people one after each other (if they had proper gear) this would indeed be taken seriously. Doesn't matter if the opponent is good. The fact that the weapon can do what I did is broken. Noone is saying there's no counterplay to it. Damage output of 2h weapons on cav is too high. Everyone with the slightest amount of brain will agree to this.
