Multiplayer Conquest Events "A game of Kings" [THREAD UPDATE]

Welcome fellow forum community members to the Game of Kings multiplayer conquest event thread. This event hopes to bring the potential of Bannerlord Multiplayer to light. We hope to accomplish many great feats with the help of all participants and admins of this great tournament. Below you may find rules, clan standings, and sign up information.​

ITS HARVESTING SEASON​

A Game of Kings is a medieval competitive multiplayer event with many features. Each Bannerlord Clan leader will be given vast land in which he has to expand or protect by using diplomacy, war, and even a hint of magic. Land and territorial control will be depicted on our map that will be updated after each week's actions and events. As a lord of a kingdom, the clan leader will have to work together with his in-house warriors to decide on how to grow his kingdom. The objective of the game is to take over the map (more specific rules will be below). With limited resources, population, and time, clan leaders will have to chose wisely on when to attack or gather strength for coming enemies. Once actions have been declared and announced to all other clans, the action will take place in game. If House Lancaster decides to attack House Valradia for example, the battle will be fought ingame. The winner will receive some chunk of land from the losing faction and other loot to help replenish his weakened army. The losing faction will cede some of his land and be forced to retreat into one of his other territories. While this conquest campaign is centered around combat, many other options will be available for a clan leader to chose from each weak. Whether that is to host a jousting tournament for all the other kingdoms to compete or make an alliance with a fellow clan, the possibilities are plentiful. Take the first step, start a clan and enlist multiplayer players to fight for you! A cash prize will be granted for the winning clan.

It would be hosted for bannerlord. Wanted to know what other people thought about it on the MP community side.

I think you may be putting the cart a little ahead of the horse.

It's a cool idea, but as we still have no idea when BL might be released, you might as well start planning this for WB. If BL comes out before you're ready, you've got a good amount of the work done already (how long it'll take to attack, how each territory effects this, etc., etc.), and if it doesn't, you could have a healthy game population ready to make the transfer to BL.

I wish you good luck on this event, which will take place in about 6 years, after blog 643 which will announce TW ran out of money  and need to put out the game in an emergency next day release. Jokes aside, good luck, really whenever it comes. Player-run events are the best thing that is happening to Warband so far.

Organized battles like this are pretty fun.

I'm going to update the thread once I'm finished with the rules and and artwork.

Warband actually had this exact same grand conquest event awhile back. I never partook, but I believe it was organized on Reddit and had a good following. No idea if or when it was discontinued.

Are you talking about the Calradic Campaign? Because it's still up and running and they have a Discord server to organize events.

What does this virtual card look like? As a separate resource on which other players coordinate their actions?

This makes sense if the developers themselves will add the ability to freely explore the map with other players like a singleplayer.

And if not then I would create all the maps etc.. I'm very good with photoshop and putting stuff like this together. When I'm on holiday I will be creating the rest of the thread and maps and all that to give you guys an idea of what it will look like..

You probably know, but if not, then read about the cRPG strategus and watch a video of kings and man with a global map that will give you some inspiration.
