Moving your wife

Can your wife be moved to a different castle? And if for some reason the castle she is in is taken, what happens to her if she is let go?

She can be moved by moving your court if you are a King. If your court is taken she moves to another of your fiefs. If you have no other fief she can go to live. You get a message saying one of your lords has taken her and your court in. If you are a vassal I have no idea how it picks which fief she stays at and if you have no lands at all I'm pretty sure she goes and lives with her father again.

She normally goes to a town and I think it might be the richest one, but I'm not sure.

That's what my thoughts and happenings were, but I didn't have any evidence to back it up so I refrained from saying it.

Well I had two towns and she went to the richer one and in another game she stayed in an average castle until I was given a town, which was poor and she moved there straight away.

if you are a vassal and your castle is taken where your wife is , go ask a lord "do you know the location of..." and then your wife.

you can't move a wife while you are a vassal
