Sergeant at Arms
I was just watching some videos on youtube when i came across this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U11LnAYMu-c  Does anyone know how this works? I would really like to use this but i have no knowlege about shaders or vertex shaders  at all .

You could ask xenoargh himself, don't know if he will share his shaders though but there's no harm in asking how to do your own. The moving flora looks really amazing, I wonder how he went about doing that because I have no don't know how to edit the shaders and create your own.

I don't think it's the shaders. I think it's simply the 3d model scene prop that got animated. Ask around the Q&A thread about animating scene props. Or try something as simple as the map icon animation though I think it's different (the trees on the big map are easy to do, and the animation lenght time for each frame you'll have to do it by trial and error - look at the party map icons for hero, lords, bandits and caravans).

Nope, its all done with shaders.
Take a look at this...

Well then you'll have to ask Xenoargh. As far as I know shaders work for how the texture gets rendered, texture effects, bump, occlusion, transparency, but not 3d mesh animation. In openbrf i see shaders attached only to textures in order to form a material which is then used on a 3d mesh. I might be wrong though... sharders are a misterious thing
