I did a search to see if there was one but no luck, so I made my own.
Discuss movies you have seen in here.

I am going to see Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire in 5 minutes.

Weel, I liked the movie. However it is true, the term "Special Effects" is truly outdated. They are no longer special since at least Star Wars Episode 1 (the new one) came out, so sometime in the 90s it fell off the cliff, and hit the ground sometime in the last 4 years. Anyways, I thoguht they should have showen the quidditch match at the beginning of the movie and I wuld have liked to see more than jsut the main plot and scenes dealing with the tournament. A number of the charactors looked a year older than they were playing as. Other than that, along with things like the Quidditch pitch had changed since the previous versions. I enjoyed the movie and would recomend it to anyone. Althoguh watching the preview for Narnia (wich I wont be able to see in theaters  ) made me dream, of battles, that included a hogwarts like castle. Damn, I wish there were more movies of huge battles in fantasy enviroments. Or even historic ones. And I liked the World Cup Quidditch stadium, I would hire those wizards to help construct my palace.

Just watched the Chronicles of Narnia movie Saturday, and was rather pleased. It stuck to the book pretty closely (still a few changes, naturally), and the battle between all the various mythical beasts and half-humans and such was well done.
I read all the books as a kid many times (and have them all in hardback which I bought a few years ago), so this was quite a treat. I've seen the old BBC ones, and honestly thought they were not that good most likely due to lack of funding.
This movie had a budget of $180 million.

Two thumbs up from me.

And please people, no debates about it being a "religious" movie blah blah blah. It has no overt religious overtones, so who cares.

Well, that thread takes to long to load and is old, so this will saty.
I tohught thoguh that in Harry Potter having them wear modern clothes is good, but will look odd in 5-10 years. In 3-60 years we can tell our kids and grandchildren; "That's what we wore when I was your age".

I want to see King Kong, but since nobody in my entourage has money I'd be forced to go the movie theater alone, and I hate doing that because you get too many looks of people that aren't alone.

I rent/ buy a lot of DVd's tough, I recently bought Ong Bak wich is a great movie of mindless stunts and Muy thai and I bought Kung Fu hustle wich is bloody Hilarious, I love that dance sequence near the beginning, I'm trying to master those dance moves now.

another movie I really want to see is the dutch movie: het shnitzelparadijs.

oh and I recently saw Oeroeg wich is a nice movie about the Netherlands and indonesia and the independance struggle

I've heard from my gf that there would be some kind of Pavlov movie coming out, that was going to be super violent and gory, I think is was something like House on hill, or something about a hill or a house.

i saw ichi the killer last night. great movie full of sick ****!

Kakihara reminded me of pavlov alot. anyone else seen it?

with that kind of budget i could do a good movie.

All I'd do is put a video camera on record, wank in front of it for one and half hours, and yell "I'm getting payed 180 millions for this!!! BAWAHHAAHAHAHHAAHAHAAAAA!!!!!"

Is Kakihara the guy with slit mouth?

It's a adaptation from a comic. The comic is very, very gory.

King Kong blew donkey balls. Three hours. A love story between a 25-foot ape and a blonde woman (who creepily looks a lot like Nicole Kidman in Bewitched, and apparently this actress and that actress are best friends in real life..... weird). King Kong was King Kong when it first came out... in 1933. When you take it too seriously 70 years later, you get a piece of crap. Jack Black..... JACK BLACK!?!? The weirdest freaking cast thrown together.

And don't get me started on the "relationship" between the big black seahand and the stowaway kid............. *shudder*

The Da Vinci Code, however, looks to be superb.

...comes out in MAY!...

For christ's sake, teasing the hell out of my balls 5 months in advance. I hate them.

Yust saw Narnia.

Ok movie.
Bad acting overal the two good actors were the Little girl Lucy and the Witch,
Ok final battle
bad one on one combats (clishe)
The kidd who plays peter couldent handel his weapons.

The lion was cute  The suport actors were overacting.
The overal rating of the movie.
two swords of five possible.
