Well before I get into my story let me leave some notes to the people who read this:

1. All Taleworlds/Paradox products are ENTIRELY SAFE, and are not malicious IN ANY WAY!
2. Kaspersky can act like it has a serious stick up it's butt.

Now onto the story!

A little bit of a backdrop (A little story of paranoia and technical stuffs)

I am a bit of security freak (I don't know why) but my computer uses a wide array of threat protection including: Threatfire, Kaspersky Internet Security, and Defense wall HIPS.
All of the above is ran in a layer of virtualization.
Note: I also have a range of scanners I use when I believe a threat has been implemented (Which is basically never, just when i'm super paranoid lol). Those include: Spybot S&D, Malwarebytes Antimalware, and AdAware,

Now of course upon initial setup of all these features I spent hours upon hours getting things to not detect harmless executables as the digital spawn of Hitler. One program however, rises to the top of the list when it comes to detecting everything from breakfast cereal to atomic super weapons as a threat and that program is kaspersky. But, I did eventually get it set up to be minimally annoying but every once in a while kaspersky gets seriously bipolar on me and it starts marking anything that acknowledges the fact I pressed a button, as a keylogger. So what's the big deal right? I mean just add it to an already massive exclusions list and you're good to go! No, because you won't know kaspersky doesn't like something until about 3 hours into you using it.

Sooooo...for the past week or so I've been warring with the nords as the only lord of my player kingdom and after a painstakingly difficult battle I wiped them out. Then BAM I see my desktop and a message box saying "mb_warband.exe is intercepting keyboard input (Keylogger) and has been blocked". So after about 9 hours of constant play NOW IT DEEMS IT A THREAT? I'm delivering a great lance to Kaspersky and I'm sure they anticipate where I'll put it. Now I have to beat the nords AGAIN! Losing massive amounts of progress sucks 

Added it to the exceptions list and now it's all good but on a relative note who decided quicksave should be mapped to F12 that's not exactly an easy reach lol.

why don´t use linux??? malware and virus free.... You can use a dual installation,Windows for playing games  and linux for anithing else  (i don´t like playing on wine.... but you can also do it). i think it will be easier than all the stuff you use for security...

That wouldn't solve the problem. He would still be running windows for games and would still have the threat of viruses when on it. Noone is going to restart their computer and boot linux just to open a web browser or download a file real quick then go back and boot windows again.

I don't even really get viruses probably because unlike most other guys porn grosses me out 

I just get bored and do stuff like increasing security I dunno lol

So you enjoy a program that serves no use other than to annoy you while you try to play games by disabling it at random moments.

Sounds an awful lot like something a virus would do.

That's totality wrong. Nowadays we have a lot of suspicious advertisment on the webstites and some of them try to send trojans over it. I did recieve such warnings from my Anti-Virus Scanning Software. This advertisments are mostly done by third party companies who hosts advertisments for several companies. That's why you often see another picture from the same domain. Last time that happens was a few months ago, but I won't notice it anyway now, because I use a scriptblocker and an advertisment blocker. No annonying layeradds anymore

Anyways, even a good known harmless website can be hacked and replaced for some time by hackerz with the same layout and there you go. You know, just because you only have sex with healthy looking women does not mean you can't get a disease

I use adblock, WOT, and NoScript for internet security (I also use a VPN for the sake of privacy)

Yeah Kaspersky 's getting a kick out of telling that every program behaves "similar to pdm.keylogger - found", but it's all safe.

Actually never had any problems using zonealarm internet security + addblock on fox. Had plenty of attacks blocked, and absolutely no spam adds or any kind of website add.

So get this and be happy.

My Internet security (Bullguard) have blocked a lot of trojan horses which came from flash players and automatic pop ups, also when opening emails, you can have a virus instantly. (Depends on which email you use)

A program cant just start downloading itself to your computer unless you somehow gave permission for it. Don't click stuff you shouldn't click and you'll be fine.

I use avast, and its saved my ass many times. Sometimes even trusted websites get hacked and hackers have tried to backdoor me, but got stopped by avast.
