I think Armagan was talking about releasing the next version close to if not on Valentines day

Anything to back that up? Or just rumour?

I'd like to think there's something to it, if only for the fact that it would make for a good birthday present.

Armagan said that we should expect a new release in time for Valentines day. He said that awhile ago, but things have been going pretty good so far.

This was a qoute from  Lamjoe in the thread on the bottom of the screen, hope it is right. It isn`t to far away if that is correct

That's the first I'd heard of it. Running a search for "valentine" in any post by Armagan comes up with nothing, so I wouldn't bet on it. Either way, release date targets have a tendency to slip.

Armagan didn't post it here lamjoe said he announced it on the MBX forums.
Nope. I have access to every board there and just searched, and the only reference to "valentine" at MBX is entirely unrelated. For that matter, I don't recall ever seeing a post by Armagan at MBX. I don't think he even has an account over there.

Sorry guys. It was a complete lie. Just the first thing that popped in my head when someone started a "new release11!!1!!11" thread.

HOW DARE YOU

i jest obviously

so i suppose no one knows when the next version will come?

Question.. In order to get a fief in .903, do you have to wait for an offer to join a faction like in the last version I played? I've been playing for a while now and got my renown from 0 to 100 (I started as adventurer, oops) and I have not received one damn offer.

I'm wary of joining a faction by asking because when I did that in an old version I was never given a fief.

The requirements for joining a faction have changed since .894 though. You need 160 points from a combined value consisting of your renown plus 5x your relation to a faction's king to be able to join it. So, if you have 100 renown and want to join a faction, get your relation to the faction's king up to 12 (12x5=60) and you can successfully ask him to join.
If you reach 160 renown, you'll start getting those random offers from kings. Otherwise, do some quests for the king of your desired faction to get your relations value with him up, then ask to join his faction.

Actually, I finally decided on the Vaegirs earlier (since I played the Nords last round, I wanted to try something different) and went to do some quests for King Yaroglek; but he asked the worst things of me. He asked me to 'deal with' a local merchant because he owed a debt to the merchant and didn't want to pay it, amongst other details. Maybe I am letting my real-life moral values seep into my games too much, but I'm not really keen on killing innocent merchants, y'know?

He wasn't happy about me declining the task offer.

I guess I'll just have to go for the renown.

SPOILER ALERT

if you wanna gain more of his respect without having to kill the merchant, you need to significantly hurt him without killing him--and this is most easily done using your fists. furthermore there's always an honorable way of handling those quests so that you dont have to lose favor.

Oh.. Well good, I guess. I still don't like having to beat up an innocent guy though.

What about the "Hunt down the murderer hiding in this village" quest? I always lose favour with the village for killing the guy, and he's armed so it's not like I can just let him wail on me.
