I had an escort-caravan quest, and my party got wiped out by bandits, but not the caravan.  Then I got the message caravan quest failed.  I still led the caravan to wercheg, but they didn't 'realise' and are still following me.  I tried another merchant, and was able to get a second caravan quest, but THAT caravan kept giving me 'surrender or die'.  And I only had the 'leave' option.

Anyone else?

Eye candy aside, there's not much improvement.  The enemy appear, across the board, to be a bit harder to kill.  The main bonus, for me, is the ability to turn off all the 'reports'.  other than that, like I said, all eye-candy.  Nice, don't get me wrong, but that's it.

For some odd reason, I can't turn off environmental shadows, which is bad, since it makes everything on my screen appear purple and green, and the game runs very slowly. It's like M&B in Barneyland....

Is that a driver problem? (The fact that it cannot be turned off I consider a bug, but the performance I'm not sure of.)

No, but your very rude. I was simpley pointing out that it would make more sense to work out the kinks and THEN come out with like v 8.10 instead of just comming out with a new, glichy v every day. Unless the goal is for the actual players to be thier beta testers, we report an error and that way they dont have to spend forever looking for it. That would make more sense, and save money.

And there you have it.  We essentially all paid to be beta testers.

I apologize for jumping all over you, but we had a rather irritating element on the forums who kept demanding a new release, the same element that now complains that it is a buggy update.

Come on this page is not for fighting on, (isn't there a forum rule that forbids fighting) this page is for reporting bugs and above all giving praise to the wonderful developers who have kindly kept releasing updates and bugfixes every few days.

Anyway I haven't downloaded this update yet because i'm currently working on a mod for .751 and the editor tried to edit the new one etc. but i'm rambling...

Here I propose a solution, put in release note that it is a beta release, any one who want a relative stable release should download from first page (.751) rather than the forum.  And kindly remind people who does concern stability but also want to try new version to read bug list first (a link to bug report thread).  This may let people think they are not forced to upgrade but can do so in free will.

I happened to be on the forum last night when the new version was released, and decided to give it a go. I didn't have very high hopes because versions 0.800-0.804 had reportedly been quite buggy (or so it seemed reading the forums, I hadn't actually had time to test them personally).

The result:  , , and a night without much sleep. M&B is better than ever!

Many thanks!  M&B 8.04 was running incredibly slow on my old system--had to take off all graphical extras and run in 640x480 (!!!!).  But now all is great!

I guess we'll wait a while to see how stable this version turns out, and if all is well, we'll call it a stable version and update the website. If not, we can always release a 0.806.

i saw this thread this morning, and spent a few minutes whilst getting lunch wondering if there could possibly be a better game developer than Armagan and his team

i conclude not! i feel really spoiled by all these amazingly fast updates! big game developers should take note!!! This is how you make for a happy loving community ready to sing your praises!
