Mount&Blade version 0.804 is released!

As someone mentioned earlier and I tried, if you play M&B with an already-created character, you can turn programmable shaders and environmental shadows on. It's only in the character creation that it has problems.

First of all: Thanks muchly for your dedication, oh mightly developers. Believe me, we really appreciate your efforts.

And now...

When installing the full version, it says that i dont have DirectX 9.0c installed. Checked it and i actually have it, any idea what i should do? And yeah, after installing the game still wont start up, again complaining about that direct x. Re-installed the game and direct x already.

Same thing happened to me. I updated to DX 9.0c months ago through the Windows Update feature, which apparently leaves out some key files. To fix the problem, I downloaded the *full* DX 9.0c file through Windows web page ( www.microsoft.com/directx/ ), installed it, and lo and behold, M&B works like a charm.

*laughs* I'm on dialup too, and it's bad, but not *that* bad.  Downloading the full .802 installer a few days ago took about eight hours (I left it downloading overnight), and since then I've only downloaded the 4 MB patches, which take about 20-30 minutes. I'm downloading the .804 patch as we speak, as a matter of fact... 12 minutes left! Hurry up goddammit!

For good or bad, not everybody lives in or near a city. Here in the middle of nowhere (also known as the Australian outback ), the only options for accessing internet are through your telephone wires (ie. dialup), or satellite internet at outrageous prices. *sighs* Maybe one day... maybe one day.

Well ok.. so the tavern bug isn't fixed but i wonder if anyone noticed thats the only bug (exept DX 9.0c bug but those people are in a minority so should be ignored as all minorities are .joking.) anyway as i was saying i think once the tavern healing bug is fixed the stable version might come out and the modding may begin. Who said anything about 56K? I connect at a speed of 28.8K. And finally, someone else who realizes that not everybody lives in an urban or built-up area. Somebody tell the communications companies. But it's true, it only takes half an hour for the updates, but it took me from 11 one night to 1 the next night, because my connection is an absolute piece of **** which disconnects periodically whenever you download stuff. Sometimes the data will be in the browser cache, sometimes not.

Well, posting more information than "my computer is being a ******" would help.

However, I have two points of advice.  First, get a computer that is not either a homosexual or a piece of wood.  Second, don't use Firefox to try and download it.  I had some problems that immediately went away when I used IE.

Edit:  Also, we don't have to help you.  I post on this forum for fun, not to help whiny prepubescent assholes.
