Mount & Blade: Total War

SWEET! Looking forward to it.

Too bad thoguh that it'll haev to change a bit eventualy since M&B is not finished.

Strange... and here I was thinking Mount&Blade's one of the weakest points is the setting itself (there's really not that much info about it and it's a bit generic).

Doesn't seem too great, Dark Hunters shouldn't ever be a faction just to name one thing. Second... I don't really see the -difference-. Yeah, it's set in Calradia, yay, but how does that make it different than regular M:TW2? It's like taking vanilla, adding vanilla chunks, and calling it a new ice cream flavor.

Im a little confused, that doesnt look like mount & blade at all. The interface is messd, up, the graphics are waaay better. What'd he do?

Its not a mod for M&B but a mod for Total war

Yep, 'tis the **** alright. takes everything good about M&B, namely the small scale, well-realised close-combat, and removes it, making itno a soulless click here to send Marnid to his death, click here and here to order your Vaegir Knights to save his arse. Maybe if they added a Hero mode like in Rise & Fall...

If anything, the Total War series are hardly "soulless clickfests".

(Except for the tactical part of RTW. Ugh.)

Yep, yep. I have a feeling Dave hasn't played any Total War games, and most of all Medieval II. 'Tis teh excrement.

I've played every Total War for some period of time, and didn't enjoy them for any longer than the time it took to finish the main campaigns. I'm more of the bloodthristy, get-in-there-and-lop-off-heads type. Still, if they give the units enough difference to vanilla M2:TW, I might give it a look in between M&B sessions.

The whole point of the Total War games was eliminating the point and click with more units to win thing of other games.
