Hey everyone!

Iv just bought the game for the Xbox and really exited to get stuck in but would really like some advice and tips, also have some questions...

I'm wanting to play as a female (if this makes a difference, heard it's slightly harder if you play female?) so any beginners advice and tips would be very welcome as I'm a completely new to the game.

Really would like to create an all female army or something, is this possible? If so, what's the best way to do this? (Iv heard the only way to have women in your army is to recruit peasants and train them up? How do you recruit them?)

What females are you able to use for your armies or whatever? Is it just peasants or are they any others? (Heard there's Amazons and something called sword sisters...)

Is there any way to change or customise your character's (and armies) clothing? From what iv seen the women only wear ugly dresses or masculine armour, wanting something more feminine. (seen some stuff with really cool looking female warriors but don't know how to get them?)

Heard that a lot of the really cool stuff on this game are mods, DLCs and other add on stuff but is this something you can do for Xbox or is that just PC? Also is the online PC only or is that open for Xbox?

Any help much appreciated!

I recommend you read these guides, they will answer many basic questions you have:

These are what you want. The only way to get them is to rarely get them from prisoners, or train them up from peasant women, which you can also only get as prisoners. You will need to give yourself and your companions plenty of points in Trainer as well, and keep the peasant women at the bottom of your army to lower the odds of them showing up in battle, until you can finally upgrade them to Sword Sisters.

You can buy different clothing and armor in towns and from loot. You can change what your companions wear, but not your ordinary soldiers.

The console port will not receive any DLC or mods. The consoles do have multiplayer.

Welcome Nicole.
There is a female player https://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php?action=profile;u=130936 who posts in the single player section frequently.  She has forgotten more about playing as a female than most of us will ever know.  I'm confident the console port is similar enough to the PC version that her advice would apply to you.  Maybe check out some of her posts or even PM her.  She's always happy to help.

let me give you some advice DONT go for a all female army if will be far to difficult to get the peasant women needed to train a "proper" female troop i wouldn't even use the sword sisters if i bothered to train them as there so terrible. as for being a women in game it will make it more difficult but is doable

well been playing it a while now, yeah took a little while to build my peasant women up but they train up pretty quickly and with the amount of them your able to rescue from steppe bandits you can get quite a steady stream of them. I have practically an all sword sister army now and they are BEAST AF! iv been able to take down armies twice my size and seiges are no problem, they have really good armour, the fastest horses in the game and they spawn with cross bows, to top it off they are dirt cheap compared to other cavalry units and unlike most cavalry units, sword sisters make crazy powerfull infantry when unmounted...

so yeah your talking rubbish, sir.

in my experience the sword sisters arent very good late game because if you have a large enough faction you wont be hunting down bandits as you will be spending most of your time managing territories and capturing castles and towns and as for cavalry units you can acquire swadian knights relatively easier and they are also heavy cavalry which means their less likely to be dismounted unlike the sword sisters which as far as i know are light cavalry swadian knights can also be used as infantry and pretty decent although they cost more i have 123 of them in my army and am still able to rake in a profit of 15000 and i only own two towns and a castle "no villages" so its not hard to pay their wages. as for you being able to take down armys twice your size im guesing you were not taking on the factions with good cavalry i was abled to take on a army of around 1000 nords i only had 120 but i won because i had cavalry you can cheese basically any faction without good cavalry and you will also want to get some good infantry as when you eventualy go up against factions like the rhodoks who have good defensive units as taking castles and towns will be significantly harder to do as your full on sword sister army will be torn apart by the rhodok archers/crossbowmen i had to covert alot of my army to infantry i used the nord huscarls in the end.

Well i find they hold there own against most factions and iv succesfully seiged a castle from every faction at one time just using them... if you havent had a lot of them in your army at once you probably wont notice how good they are... they are very underrated and are my fave unit in warband to play. Huskarls and swadian knights are very overrated and over priced IMO

if companions are not included i belive Townswoman troop tree is only one with female units (I cant remember if this is a fact) However i highly recomend you try getting some Swadian Knights and farm some mountain bandits for easy XP and good start on the game.
