If you want to run old Mount and Blade versions in Windows 8 or Windows 10, try to deactivate the Anti-virus! It was the only way that I found to sucessfully launch the 0.903 version of the game (I have Windows 8.1). I think that because the version being too old, the Anti-virus interprets some processes associated with it as virus, which blocks it, even without warning the user.

There's a very hacky way of downloading any version you want. Just copy the download link of any Warband installer in the search bar, and then type the version number you need.

I had this thread bookmarked a while ago and this method worked at the time but it no longer does, I get a 404 error on all three download servers. Does anybody know any other method to download the older versions of Warband or are they gone forever?
Hi guys, I just wanted to play oldest version of the game (Warrider) but after extracting rar file and opening Warrider.exe nothing happens ; I tried compability and run as an admin options but nothing did happen even error message pop-up didnt came up,

Nothing at all happens, or does it open a window? I'm having the same issue with versions between 0.202 and 0.808 actually, but I'm on Windows 7.
Try running it through compatibility mode, worked out for me.
I need help v.960 wont run and i need it to play hegemony 268 its the best mod i know for ancient civs it run on my old computer but now that pc is trash so i bought a new one and i can run everything on it even older games like diablo 2 and baldurs gate but mount and blade v.960 wont launch please any help?!
