found a chest in veluca. i dont know if thats what Vata was talking about. but its on a roof, so it might be.

i think you should make the ivory weapons a bit stronger. as it is, theres no point in having them because you can get better weapons for cheaper, kinda ruins the point of the search for ivory and ivory-laden weapons IMHO.

great work tho, very fun.

anyways, first post, glad to be here. long time lurker.

"in"  or "on"?  Under the roof with stars!
My english is very bad.
I cant find the 4. chest.

Version .002 has been released get it now!

The only real change is that the ivory ninjas and Moon Tooth are all stronger and tougher - hopefully they will be more effective in combat now.

ALWAYS start new characters when using new versions of my mod, since it is all but impossible to track what will or wont change in old savefiles.

That's the one... it is on the roof at the top of the stairs behind the horse merchant. One more chest to find!

All of my mod's weapons are already slightly stronger than normal weapons (by about 1 damage point), and you cannot buy them anyway... they are all free to find in the hidden chests (and in the case of the gatanas, on Moon Tooth's person) making them as cheap as it comes. This also means you can sell any of them you wont be using for a pretty penny. The "martial" weapons (the wooden and iron ones) are all very cheap, with a base cost of only 100.

Keep in mind, this is not a mod by which you can acquire the tools of a ninja, and are thereby transformed into an unstoppable killing machine. One must also acquire the skills of a ninja, which takes much discipline. Perhaps you lack discipline?

For a "one-man-army" style mod, wait for my "V for Vendetta" mod (not dead!) to come out.

It wont unzip correctly ive tried about 10 times to extract to module folder and it gets screwed up everfy time.

I just downloaded it and tried it and it worked fine for me... anyone else having problems?

You should delete your temporary files and try downloading it again. It could be an error happened while you downloaded it, and uuntil you delete your temporary files it could default to a corrupted temporary file. Depends on how your browser is set up.

Also, I am not certain it will work with M&B .893 - I know it says it will at the repository, but I hadn't noticed the new version release when I uploaded it this morning. Once I get the .893 module system, I will release another version.

Also save games may not be backwards-compatible.

Ivory ninja does work with 893 and I have found that chest everyone is looking for.

[move]Its somewhere in Werecheg

I've got Zendar, Werecheg, Veluca and Sargoth, but no fifth chest. How about a hint for where that last one is hiding.

the only thing more awesome would be a horde of monkey zombie cyborg pirate ninja monks attacking a bunny......

Ok...

1st Chest - Zendar - Behind the stairs next to the armorer.

2nd Chest - Werecheg - Opposite the church, next to the stable in a little shack.

3rd Chest - Veluca - On top of the stairs behind the horse merchant.

4th Chest - Sargoth - Find the pile of wood, and then near it will be a cart, behind the cart is a bush, and behind the bush is a chest.

*drum roll*

5th Chest - Rivacheg - go through the gates and through the second set of gates (there are 3 sets of gates) once through the second set of gates turn right, and in a little gap under a bush you will find it.

Wrong - that is the normal secret chest in Rivacheg.

The fifth chest is in Curaw, under a pile of snow next to two barrels - the corner is even sticking out.

I'd have let you keep guessing but you shouldn't be missing out on the claws and tessens. New version (.894 compatible) coming up soon!

Alright version .003 is now released!

This version will work ONLY with M&B version .894 and savegames will NOT be compatible!

This is pretty much a basic port to the new version - I changed and fixed a few minor things. As usual, let me know if you encounter any bugs, or if I have forgotten to include something from the previous version!

Are the river pirates using pistols or something? They look like they have guns. I've been trying to get them as loot but it never appears. Can we get guns? If it's one thing a traditional ninja needs, it's a traditional pistol.

Great mod!!

Mind you, I didn't download it for the Ninjas, but for the guns, as I'm wanting a fix, while I wait for the Firearm mod to be ported over.

Little bit dissapointed with the firearms though. So far after several hours of playing, I've only come across flintlock pistols and not only do they they lack any accuracy whatsoever and take forever to reload, but they don't really seem to be doing any more damage than a bow, or crossbow. Definately a poor choice of weapon, particularly considering that you've severely limited the ammo. Needless to say, when the bad guys use them they are amazingly inept and the phrase "couldn't hit a barn door with a bag of rice" comes to mind.

Did you put any others in there? A musket or something perhaps?

Also, there is a bug that occurs with the cartridge ammo, when you pick up another item during combat. Every time I did this, I found that the cartridge max ammo reset to be whatever it was at the conclusion of your combat. For example, the first time I did it, I ended up with only 7/17 rounds in the inventory screen and the next time I went in. Next time it was 3/17. After this, I picked up a new lot of ammo and it reset itself up to 16/17.

Anyhow, great mod. I really look forward to the next installment!!

Edit.

I just did a test of the effectiveness of the guns in this mod. I tracked down a party of Forest Bandits, who have been conveniently equipped with one gun each. I then stood off by myself (having had the rest of my troops hold at the spawnpoint) and faced thier barrage, while shooting back myself, using my trusy pistol. I survived.

In fact, not only did I survive, but so did they. I was unable to take out a single one of them given the poor accuracy of my own weapon, even at skill level 150. However, once they had used up all thier ammo, they closed on me, so I lanced them all to death by myself.

I then repeated the same test, except this time I used a heavy crossbow. While I survived the barrage, I managed to kill 5 of them, even though my skill in crossbow started out at 20 (as I hadn't used them for this game yet).

I might try the same thing for bows, but clearly the flintlock is wasy underpowered for all concerned.

Edit No. 2. OK. Tried the Forest Bandit hunting again. This time with bows. Again using enemy parties of greater than 20. First off, I used a shortbow with 20 skill. I had to get really close for this, as it just doesn't shoot that far. They managed to kill my horse, but not me and I managed to kill about 3. Next off I used a war bow with skill of 99. This time, I managed to kill all but 3 before they ran out of ammo, although they did manage to kill my horse again. Once again, I survived.

So, can we please get some love for the poor, poor pistol?
