Vikingr was the first to implement class//banner//leader bonuses across a radius of the map - often stemming from the leader's horn, the banner-man or a particularly brutal death.

I am sorry I had no idea Vikingr was the first to implement it, and no offense but I am really not interested in who implemented the idea first I was just using the only example known to me.

It's a shame you never got the download link to work reje (I checked into it for you, we had no idea why your conection refused the download - sorry!), I think you would enjoy Vikingr.

Eh gad I'd have to look through my PM message box of hazy memories. A lot of people messaged me last year from various mods or for various reasons and I usually gave very quick answers due to work/Uni and living overseas in a mouse infested shoe box. There were plenty of IP addresses I couldn't access while in the Philippines. I might check out Vikingr mod at some point soon, is there any SP? My SP needs are feeling neglected atm.

I think it's quite obvious that you came here to pick out a fight.

Not really, but as you said: credit where its due. Everyone wants to set the record straight for a public that has either a) made up its mind and refuses to listen or b) doesn't really care.

We all really need to get over this.

No singleplayer for Vikingr, Brytenwalda is the closest thing you will get to Vikingr singleplayer. But you must already have tried out Brytenwalda once or twice.

I'm pretty sure he did come here to pick a fight. There's no other reason to mention what he did if he wasn't. I suppose it goes to show that the crappy ethics of one person simply rubs off on another...or that people with poor ethics like to collude. Take your pick.

Leeeeeeeets get back on topic, and to do that I humbly request someone posts a link of that MB2 footage.

That's what happens when the original thread creator doesn't gather all the information in the original post.

Has anyone ever pointed out the part at 0:45 where there appears to be a point-and-click interface for communicating with members of another party?

Was I not meant to post the video again or something, Frosty?
Yes, you were: you're now the official keeper of the link, he who must post the link upon request, guardian of the footage.

Yeah. This video has been discussed to death, and thankfully Almondia was scrapped after we all made fun of it. I personally don't like the interface for some reason that I mentioned earlier, but I forgot what it was.

Reading my old posts from this thread (lord am I judgmental), I just recalled a feature that can be really important. Armies didn't always have their food carried around with them, they had it delivered from friendly territory. Because of this, castles in the way of important cities hadto be taken, because otherwise the army's supply lines would be compromised. Introducing food caravans would make castles have some strategical importance, and making it so the garrison will sally out to attack caravans or small lord parties would be perfect.

That would be cool, and if you raid them you get a bunch of food. Also caravans REALLLLY need to get a lot more trading goods. As it is now you get a bit of food and maybe 2 merchandise, which is not really worth the fight.

I thought medieval armies generally pillaged the enemy land for food? I can't remember reading about any campaign where food was brought from friendly territory, apart from when it was smuggled in to besieged cities.

Royal gold transports. Think Spanish Galleons sailing from America, except on land. So much money, if you manage to win. The escort would be huge.

Different types of traveling caravans would be awesome.

Like a heavily guarded spice merchants.
Wheat caravan, guarded by peasants.

Their weapon is taunting; 'TIS ALMOST HARVESTING SEASON

Well yes, they did pillage and raid but it can't always be relied on to provide for a large army.
