translation: create random conspiracy theories about the state of the game, with no facts to back them up  :shifty:

so go ahead

Which 'conspiracy theories' are you referring to? It's a fact there has been no blog release or significant promotion material in months and everything has an explanation; one some of us are trying to divine. Perhaps some would prefer to put their hands over their ears and shout LA-LA-LA. I personally find it interesting.

I really don't see why forum members are so hostile to this? Is it because they feel Taleworlds is being impugned and they must spring to it's defense? Presumably we're all fans, but that doesn't mean we should switch off our critical thinking capabilities.

We have so many awesome mods, we got *some* information on the Bannerlord, yet people are dissatisfied. Go and play Warband for crying out loud. Numerous mods get released almost on monthly basis, yet many people don't even bother to check them.

Most mods are simple reskins. I dont see your point. Why should I bother with reskins?

Not precisely, there are quite a few mods that overhaul the game to the point it seems like it's an entirely different game altogether. Also, wining and complaining isn't exactly productive as most people are doing just that.

If you check this thread every 3 months you usually don't miss anything. The PR department is a snooze fest.
Yeah, they're pretty useless, aren't they. Makes you wonder how many days a week Lust goes into the office in the morning (if he doesn't just work from home), fires up his PC, and goes straight to Pornhub.

It's also a fact that there have been such gaps before.

'Traditional' as in they've never said when the game will be released?

Are you an employee of TW or something, dude?

Not of six months for blogs. That should raise the eyebrow of all but the most blinkered enthusiast. Especially as we are (we assume) closer to release, not the early days.

In the matter of Dev Blogs/Updates and such, remembered this little game: http://store.steampowered.com/app/365360

Yes, it is quite different from M&B and yes, I know it is early access, not in development. Of course, nobody sane asked TW for 94 Dev Blogs, but those guys do very regular updates for anything, just just pictures from their game and such. They have planned achievements, map portions, faction previews(again, not only visual media, text as well) and really, all kinds of stuff its time. Besides being quite interesting, they help building the game lore, the game world and not go just BAM! GAME! PLAY!

Also, the game dev team is just 4 guys and an external Music Developer, not really connected to the development of the game itself. So, my point is, if they can find the time and a person to do those, why not TW? Which has gotten a bit bigger than the initial team, iIrc and is generally a more serious company.

Yeah, they're actively marketing the product that can be bought right now. Unless there's Bannerlord Early Access lying somewhere in dusty corners of internet (and if it does then I'm willing to admit TW's PR sucks), then the two projects aren't really comparable.

Especially given that the boring unpresentable development stage of a tactical turn-based RPG is tiny. On the other hand making a realtime action game from scratch means a lot of time where there's nothing to show.

In my opinion Taleworlds probably jumped the gun a bit by showing actual gameplay because it gives people the impression that the game is just about finished, when it clearly isn't. Even 30 minutes of gameplay isn't indicative of a complete game when you think of the scale of Mount and Blade.

It's five months since Gamescom, and yes there has been that length of time between blogs before. In fact the most frequent blogging was done at the start, when the first three came out in just under a month. I also think it is possible that blogs won't necessarily carry on right until the end; their purpose has not been to reach the wider gaming community, otherwise they would have been posted somewhere other than just this forum.

If you want a reason for the long time since the last proper news, why not reflect on what we know- Lust told us he had been busy working on the update (Invasion mode for Warband) and that was why he hadn't had time to work on a new blog. We also know that he was busy post Gamescom with the Warband console release. Whereas I wouldn't have expected a new blog so soon anyway (going on the history of Bannerlord blogs), if one wants facts to cite as a reason for not having had a blog for ages, those two issues are the best candidates I know of.

No, but I do get annoyed when I see hyperbole and inaccuracies repeatedly posted in a tone that suggests they are facts. Or should I show solidarity with my fellow consumers, even when they are being unreasonable? Such a tone as Drakken's and his hyperbole appeals to any cynical gamer who has witnessed or even heard of developers missing release dates, and so many people eagerly and unquestioningly accept it as fact and join the bandwagon. Who cares how heavily it is based in fact, we are all having a good time whinging about a developer, right?

If there is a valid complaint being made, fine, even if it is heavily sarcastic in tone- but it is undermined in the eyes of those familiar with events- we long term forumites- by churlish exaggeration, and for newcomers it is plain misleading. Drakken's post really gives the newcomer the impression that multiple release dates have come and gone, and they haven't; one very broad "goal" has been missed, that is all. Who would read Drakken's talk of traditional release date announcements and imagine it meant that Lust said their goal was to get the game in our hands during 2016?

Anyway, they could still show us once a week a picture taken from their tests... I don't know, the player in full Vlandian armor fighting some looters... nohting too compromising. That would be enough to make most of us happy I think.

Hey will bannerlord support direct x 10??
Thanks.

What was the last Nvidia card for dx10? They are not even listed in the website anymore: geforce.co.uk/hardware

dx12 is listed for series 700, 800, 9000 and 1000 (like the 1060).

dx11 would be series 600:
Nvidia began the release of the GeForce 600 series in March 2012

so a ~5 years card is already dx11.

now ignore all that and look at Steam page: it asks for a Nvidia GT 730 (dx11 and dx12)

can you elaborate why dx10 is important to you?
