This fellow's sword looks kind of oriental, but it's not curved. Still, can't rule out the Empire having curved swords, if they carry something like a kindjal.

Not really. We can't see much of the sword itself, but the pommel reminds me more of late medieval Swiss daggers/short swords.-

The scabbard itself looks vaguely roman gladius-like.

It looks like 5 armour slots (maybe the new one is for capes?), 4 weapon slots, 2 horse slots (maybe the new one is for horse armour?), and three additional slots (I'm guessing they are for quivers). Was hoping for more armour slots but 5 is still better than WB's 4 and since BL is going to be so mod-friendly, mods may be able to help with that.

Inventory screen (image 1):
1. There is another rectangular thing under the horse slot? What could be this? Horse armor?
2. The bottom three equipment slots on the right side are obviously smaller. My guess - they are pokets for small items - knifes, keys, candles or something else. May be even quest items. Smells like a full fledged RPG. (Reasons to think so - Having 3 extra weapon slots in multyplayer will unbalance the game. They are designed for singleplayer only. Or they are not for wepons.)

two-party theory is unlikely.

Most likely he transfers troops from his own castle to his party back and forth.

There are also some arrow shapes above the icons at the end of the row, which might indicate which skills can be leveled? Pretty speculative...

It could be a switch between "martial" and "civil" skills; or "personal"  and  "party" skills; or between "character skills" and "character inventory".

EDIT: Thanks, Lumos. Mission accomplished.  Next task: take a photo of Armagan's face when he learn about this discussion.

Wow, that video looks great! Too bad that they changed the inventory from square slots to rectangular columns but I'm pretty sure we'll get used to it. Great job on the analysis, too.

Rofl, seriously?

Considering the amount and clarity of the, uh, source material, it was a pretty good analysis

Now we just have to wait for Captain Lust to comment on this "leaked" footage and tell us all about the inventory/party/lords screens (with with a strong emphasis on inventory)

Here is my humble analysis for those interested:

Also there is a shoutout to LumosCorp. xD

Haven't been following the progress and by the looks of it, not much real info has been released but by far the biggest thing needed for SP is real Line Of Sight for the AI. Meaning, the AI always has a KnowsAbout of 1 of all enemies ,there is no visual detect so this makes it impossible to have stealth, ambush type mission or even simply hiding in the woods. Real LoS would revolutionize the SP experience tenfold and I hope they take a real college try at it.

That's great what you did! @Outlawed and yes this is a video he is presenting not actual gameplay presentation!
Hope they will release it till the end of the year!!
Because, they already spent a lot of time on it since 2011, and the video which is very viral today is updated around 4.10.2013-7.10.2013.
I think this is probably going out till the end of the year, who knows maybe next week already

The scabbard itself looks vaguely roman gladius-like.

The defining feature of Swiss swords and baselards is the wide pommel encasing the wooden grip. The grip gently curves to fit inside the pommel. The sword we're talking about has an abrupt pommel integrated with the grip, so it looks nothing like a swiss sword.

Kindjals

Jambiya and khanjars can look similar:

Also looks a bit like a type of near eastern bronze short sword from Media and Elam:
