Yeah, the graphics are nice, but I think I would have preferred to have M&B1 graphics with double the number of troops on the field and some better AI or something.

Those are some incredibly low standards/expectations for a game that is being developed in 2012-14 which already has a well established dev community and has experience >.>
I belive that they are infact pushing themselves much harder and the end product will definitely shine with content, complexity and quality.

I guess I have to ask, does it have multiplayer in the campaign?

I'm fairly sure that the devs have been quoting saying that this won't be happening.

I hope they have that in the graphics options, so one can tweak the settings.

That would be a huge miss, as its the most requested feature overall, so I've heard.

Many thanks to everyone for the warm reception for the Bannerlord screenshots. And I apologize for the website going down. We are moving the website to another server and it should be online again soon.

I can't give away too many details about what we are up to with Bannerlord but rest assured that the game will be as moddable as ever, and we are working very hard so that modders will have great tools under their hands. We will also start to post updates more regularly from now on. Perhaps we can begin with showing some aspects of the engine that will be of interest to modders such as the new terrain sculpting system or the new scene editor.

This should be pinned a thousand times on the OP. Now as I hear about a new terain sculpting tool and scene editor, I feel like a fish in the water.

I like very much the time setting and the general atmophere they created. It just feels right. It's a perfect combination of what we know as the Medieval Mount&Blade: Warband and a completly new game, which yet keeps that old feeling we have all been waiting for.

If we got to compare to the real history, my guess is that Calradia is now set during late Byzantium. We can well notice the Crusader helmets and the Arabians. So, as the story tells, the land is quite in a chaos, which again can be compared to the decline of the Byzantines.

Keep up the good work and don't fail us. For now it looks really good!

Nice screenshots, looks more like WB than I was expecting, but I love a lot of things about WB's graphics. I'm glad the art direction is largely the same.

I love the Byzantine pillar scene. The stonework, the pottery, the cloth and the fruit; there's a lot of really nice detail there.

The keeps also look great. I want to do battle on the top of those huge walls.

The extra geometry in the architecture makes a big difference and the textures fit really well.

Hoping the face modifier is still as robust as it was in past games. I see some variation, but not a lot by comparison. Easy to mod, but it's nice to have recognisable people in native multiplayer.

I'm terrified that 50% of players will be blind in one eye though.

I don't see any difference in body shape either, which is a step back from the old alpha footage, but that was a very ambitious new feature, so it's understandable if it was cut.

I see the horse hitpoint bar is melded to the player hp bar. This is good; Mount and Blade, but does it symbolise that when you fall off your horse, you will still slide along the ground on your face and get murdered? Mounting a galloping horse in M&B was great, but it would be good to have a quick dismount.

I don't like the new horse manes, but they're obviously very wip. I see one of them going through a warhorse's mail barding.

I see npcs walking around (not running) and looking side to side. Does this mean that they're different from players now or will players do this too? I wonder.

The cloth sleeves look a lot like they did in earlier games and could use some more sensible creases.

The guy standing at a gatehouse (which is nice and deep, with potentially two sets of gates) has a strap connected to his belt with a metal ring. I wonder what it will look like when animated.

Opening and closing protection for the crenels looks good. I wish there were a feature to ban users from opening/closing stuff in multiplayer though.

Some of the concept buildings are broken at the bottom, rather than sitting in the ground, which could indicate destructable structures.

I wonder if the weather effects in the concept art will be seen in game and whether that puddle has any connection to the weather.

I see some writing in the concept art: Empire Casa and Insula, Additional Archer Tower and Vlandic (or Ylandic) Arena.

Sounds like players might have some control over their fortifications, which would be a rather grand feature.

I take it the arena belongs to an unannounced faction and Vlandic isn't the real name.

It could be a multiplayer map, rather than a single player arena, with A, B and C structures accessible from within.

Thanks a lot Taleworlds team, great preview. I think everyone here's really looking forward to what you have planned. Great games and mod support make your players very happy and you're setting a really high standard so far.

Now we can only hope they maintain the M&B/WB $30 pricing system and not the standard $60. Even though I'd pay $60.

Considering Rome 2 was $60, I'd gladly pay $60 for this. At least I have confidence in the TaleWorlds devs unlike CA devs.

The artwork on the main site seems to be conceptual. The structures have sketches from all the sides. I have seen some of the stuff in game already, so the srt can be considered planned stuff of what we're about to see soon.

It looks like we got bodkin bolts.

Well, like they are still indie developers, i think the price of the game will not reach 40$... 30$ would be the perfect price, despite the ridiculous amounts of money we would pay for this game.

And about one War of the Roses comment, the graphics of that game could be nice and beautiful, but i hate with my herath that combat system, i prefer over 9000 times the graphics of those screenshots, with Mount&Blade essence, and the marvelous game mechanics and gameplay of Mount&Blade.

Could this indicate NPC's riding horsies round town? Because this really doesn't look like a player to me. The camera is too far. Then again the HUD shows a player riding.
