Lust was obviously not happy with his lifestyle in Turkey, because turkey is a ****. If a man is not satisfied with his life, that shows in his job. And captain lust was always lackluster in his job. He is too young for it, his words were never trust-worthy and everything he said was up in the air. I understand it at some extent but he should have done this a long time ago. Moving from UK to a country like Turkey will move you to a much lesser lifestyle. Many people cannot handle that. There's a point in your psychology that you simply do not give a ****. I'd say you were being a tiny bit harsh as he can only give out what he's allowed to, which is usually zip. His terse and snarky answers on askfm don't elicit much sympathy, though.

edit: you also have to realise that a sane person would never leave UK for turkey PERMANENTLY. The budget that was offered to Lust would never be able to sustain him in the UK. There is a difference between loving your job and not being able to survive. I doubt Lust wanted to stay to Turkey forever. He probably though that Bannerlord would have been released by now. It is not his fault that he left, its a matter of lifestyle enjoyment and survival. You need to be happy and also survive.

From what I've read on places like Glassdoor Taleworlds are not very flexible on wage, nor do they reimburse for travel etc. Not uncommon certainly, but as a young guy I doubt it would have helped Frank much.

Colour me pleasantly surprised if they'll get any more talkative before announcement of release date and proper marketing campaign.

Yeah, this is the test, we'll finally see if the "Lust is solely responsible for lack of info!" dumbasses were actually right. Which I highly doubt, but we'll see.

The game won't be out soon™, not 2017 at least. And thinking it will be out soon™ is ludicrous (the PR backlash/response would be detrimental). Probably still a year off which is a long time for someone like Frank to stay who wishes to leave (which he most certainly wished to leave TW).

so... Gamescom in a few weeks, release date? Legend has it it'll be in September, which is a month away, with the new PR company it might be likely?

If they announce the release date a month before the release, their PR company should be fired. Only Half-Life 3 could pull off a release like that (they should just release it on Steam and not tell anyone).

I agree with you. However I think it wouldn't be so critical if it was the date of a beta.

Yes, a beta announcement would be perfectly fine. Though I'm not sure TW is interested in doing an open beta. Most likely will be closed (which is probably the better idea but I can't say).

You're pretty pessimistic then. I am too. I think if we were to get a release date it will be for early next year which gives them enough time of course to announce a further delay later this fall.

I don't expect much from gamescon.
 
My assumption is that Frank told the company that he wanted to part his ways.Taleworlds asked if he recommended someone for the job. He told about his friend . They got him. He showed to him how things work etc etc . Also with the new tournament stuff. Anyways , taking advantage of this Taleworlds decided that it was time to get things going and made a deal with a PR company. It could mean that they are actually starting to plan some sort of road towards announcing release date. I dont expect much from Gamescom tho.

Damn, I didn't realize Frank was so young. Moved to Turkey at age twenty, been there for five years? I'm sure it took its toll.

Good luck to him, whatever he decides to do next.

Maybe now that he's not with TW, he'll be more open to bribes for Bonerlord sekrits.
