I bet its a change in career , unlike us he has seen enough of the game or even played his fill to keep him occupied , I'm starting to think that was his scheme all along..Now the time has come for him to pursue his dream to become a lawyer or something , that's life for you

I read a thread in the steam forum where they were talking about how it doesn't bode well for taleworlds/bannerlord that Frank is leaving.  I tend to agree with them.  Why leave now when the game is supposedly releasing soon?  It could mean that the game or the company is in worse shape than we thought and he might be jumping ship to save face when it flops on release or is riddled with bugs/doesn't live up to fan expectations.  On the other hand, maybe he was fired and replaced by Callum and they'll start to actually give us new info from now on. Or pehaps he just wanted to get the hell out of Turkey or got a better job offer back home. I guess we'll probably never know because I'm sure he's bound by a non disclosure agreement on anything Bannerlord related. Nonetheless, I'm of the opinion that it can't mean good things for the game.

Honestly, I wouldn't read too much into Lust leaving TaleWorlds right now. Wanting to leave Turkey and be back at home are probably high up on his list of reasons, and the appearance of Callum was a clear sign that he was on his way out. Callum doesn't have any of the baggage that Lust collected over the years. Maybe TaleWorlds wanted a clean slate and a fresh face before the main event.

lol
Taleworlds has hired a PR company (possible hype: "Be prepared")
In Frank's goodbye post[forums.taleworlds.com] he mentions that Jaleo PR[jaleopr.com] will be handling their public relations from now on.

Man this summer break is so boring, if only bannerlord was out

You know you could get a job to ..... errr ..... you know ....... keep youself occupied.
Thinking about it but i just finished summer class and i have a month left, not much time to apply for a job

I know that Lust has been around for a long time and is a huge fan of the series.  I am also aware that he may have had his hands tied by his superiors.  That being said, just from looking around this forum and the animosity that is/has been here over the past few years shows that Lust wasn't exactly doing his job at PR to a great degree.  Yes, it sucks we don't have the game yet.  Yes, the information flow has been terrible.  Could better interaction from Lust have solved that?  No, but it probably could've mitigated a lot of the angst we've seen.

Probably not a hugely popular opinion, considering how much this community seems to like Lust, but from a company-wide standpoint, he's not exactly a world-class PR guy.

Has Lust given any reason why he is leaving?

This PR company idea actually sounds like an improvement. Did they actually notice their PR was abysmal and acted upon it? I'm impressed.
As for what Lust quitting means, well... It would be naive to claim without a doubt that this is in no way related to developemnt progress. To quote different sources, employees on TW do seem to get a bit frustrated over constant shifting directions on their project, constant delays and even lack of focus... There is, in my opinion, a very good chance Bannerlord is getting delayed even further. Who knows, maybe lust got overwelmed when more bad news came up from the devs.

Lust was obviously not happy with his lifestyle in Turkey, because turkey is a ****. If a man is not satisfied with his life, that shows in his job. And captain lust was always lackluster in his job. He is too young for it, his words were never trust-worthy and everything he said was up in the air. I understand it at some extent but he should have done this a long time ago. Moving from UK to a country like Turkey will move you to a much lesser lifestyle. Many people cannot handle that. There's a point in your psychology that you simply do not give a ****. As said, I can understand it. It's time for someone more energised to handle the community.

edit: you also have to realise that a sane person would never leave UK for turkey PERMANENTLY. The budget that was offered to Lust would never be able to sustain him in the UK. There is a difference between loving your job and not being able to survive. I doubt Lust wanted to stay to Turkey forever. He probably though that Bannerlord would have been released by now. It is not his fault that he left, its a matter of lifestyle enjoyment and survival. You need to be happy and also survive.

I like the fact TW is hiring a proper PR company. To me it sounds like they're planning to give us some real news.
I mean, why would they hire this company just to give us bad news?

I think they're finally trying to build the actual pre-launch hype.

Well, if he expected the game to be released by now and he finnally snaped and quit what that says about a possible release date? If he had any indication in this past months that the game would be out soon he would not have left like this.

Hiring a company to give us bad news actually sounds quite logical. "I'm about to publish some terrible news to my future costumers so I get a professional to do it in order to minimize the damage. Can't leave to that british ginger we hire from the community 5 years ago, $%(7 is about to hit the fan and I need a pro."

lol i don't think Frank is leaving because company is in bad shape Frank is young and this was his first proper job he did everything he could in his 5 years time but people have to understand that companies in Turkey doesn't pay well yeah Taleworlds may pay enough to live in Turkey but i don't think any sane mind would live in Turkey for lifetime. People choose Taleworlds because its a good start for game developer career (like Serdar did now he is with Ubisoft) and good experience Frank probably found a good job in UK where his family are and now leaving so i don't think there are anything to be concern about he did a good job especially with e-sports he guide the company towards more e-sporty and that means fun gameplay anyway i'll miss his redhead lol

I think everyone is being quite unfair to Mr. Elliot. He was just a kid hired from the community to move to another country and work on the game while handling a company's PR. PR is more than just moderating the forums. And as to the release date, it's doubtful he even had it. Everyone keeps calling him a liar for making a hopeful guess even though that's all it was. There are numerous stories of TaleWorlds employees complaining about mismanagement and lack of transparency from on high. It makes total sense that even if he did know basic information he would have been barred from releasing much.

I wish him well and hope he enjoys being back in his safer, more developed homeland.

AI question.
I wonder how AI will handle axes halberds lances and such, also how will it use terrain.
We saw horse archery AI in last e3 gameplay but unfortunetely they perform Average, what I noticed that they draw weapon when need but still ...

I find it funny how so many people see that change almost like second coming of Jesus while to me it looked like Lust most of the time had his hands tied by TaleWorlds and he still managed to slip in tiny bits. Colour me pleasantly surprised if they'll get any more talkative before announcement of release date and proper marketing campaign.

5 years working in a foren land for a young man is a long time, and its not funny to make a change but im sure the new dood taking over was hired after it was clear Lust was leaving they were never going to work together he was the one taking over from lust when he left.I will say he can be proud of his work i really enjoyed the game play videos he made there the communication was good and you could see he knew what he was talking a bout.

would love to see a war hound in the game ,could work like a companion but can only fight and can only upgrade its strength and agility skills .
