That's not concept art, that was created for the ingame menus. Concept art usually shows the object from several angles, or in a very rigid pose.

Warband skipped out on a lot of concept art because they copied directly from historical illustrations like Osprey, especially for the more unique and complex weapons and armours.
Also, when warband came out a lot of the cruddy items were from 2004-5, and if they had a concept it was probably the back of armagan's phonebook. Most of them were redone to a much better standard when warband came out and they are generally exact copies of the old items. So warband has far less concept art than other games. Bannerlord has less of a disjointed development cycle than warband/mount and blade, so I don't doubt that the concept art we see now will be manifest in actual items.

This is concept art:

While this is just art to flavour up the game menus and/or show at press conferences:

See the difference?

Yeah I see the difference, I did not know that this was for menus. I am not sure if we need overglorified and misleading concept art to decorate the menus. The Nord of warband was the second reason I bought the game after I saw multiplayer footage. I cried inside when I could not have a glorious beard, height and hair like the art. Anyway, I hope Butterlord fix that.

I think that after the last devblog , we can safely assume that the whole editing of your character's appearance has been covered.

What I would like to see is the AI behaviour in combat and how the destruction done by catapults looks like.

Looks like your time is over then. I guess you talk about the 90s.

90's with DOS based games on PC was a weird ass time. Things got really better by 96, 98, but we saw some really good, and ugly, stuff before 95.

Irony aside, by what has been shown you most likely will be able to go way and beyond on character customization this time: the engine seem way more beefy on this matter this time.

So, at least I bet, you will be able to make bearded Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Just make the beards jiggle and we have a character creation menu completed.

I am not one of those who spend 3 hours in the character creation to be honest, I don't really care about making exact copies of celebrities or real life people. All I want is a long beaded beard and huge axe.  Seriously though, I loved Viking Conquest character customization.

Assassin's Creed syndicate has some kickass beard physics.

I like girls but no, Im not a girl

I've been following this game for a very, very long time now. Back when that really really early terrible bit of alpha footage was out. It was from some interview with the team, and they showed a very brief segment of character customization and a short overworld map scene (it wasn't the recent gameplay videos from gamescom, this was years ago). Even then I knew the game would be awesome.

I completely understand the time between blogs, and huge thanks to Captain Lust for keeping us updated on what's going on. I kinda got the feeling he was risking his job a bit in even saying what he did say, but I could be wrong.

As others have stated, I would even just be okay with screenshots every week, or every two weeks. Anything. It doesn't need to be significant. There are people like me who would be okay with just seeing a short gameplay segment of the player doing something as insignificant as riding a horse. I like to see how far the graphics, animations, and overall atmosphere has come, and I think at the very least screenshots can accomplish that pretty well.

Captain Lust, you should forward our desire for (more) frequent screenshots to your Taleworlds overlords :3

I find that the the art that we see in the main menu and get to see during certain events really add to the game.  To me, they're a part of Mount and Blade's charm.  For example, one that really stands out in my mind is when you play a female character and get knocked out in a battle you get the drawing of the limp unconscious woman in armour being carried off a battlefield by a knight. That might sound a little sexist but I just really love the art.

Lust you suck!

Just kidding, sounds like you are having a blast working at TW. If you are still taking request please take these two little features to the next development session kind sir.

1. Make faction leaders look like true Kings!

2. Give faction leaders a few unique epic heroes as companions!

It gives the illusion you are fighting an army similar to what a player would have. It just seems a bit cheesy that only the player can have companions and can make for epic clashes within a battle. Maybe if you engage in combat with these guys NPCs could form a small circle kind of like in the movie Troy when Hector and Patroclus fight with a little cheer for the victor ... then the battle would resume as normal. The winner could get a morale boost as well.

Would be really cool if kings or great lords each had their own entourage of unique or powerful characters.
