From a medical point of view, this seems to be a patology, called the Loopp Disorder. Usually, the patient suffers from a severe lack of Bannerlord information at a very early stage, and it can evolve in serious problems. The symptoms are: info request, rage, double posting, triple posting and diarrhea. At chronical stages, the patology can evolve into posts like this:

Where that bannerlord info at dawg?
After the patient recives what he demands, the Loopp Disorder may still be present. Those people can easily be distinguished by other symptoms: immediate request for more information, frequent masturbation and more diarrhea.

Dr. Bowman at your service,
Cheers.

Fortunately I heard that they are in the process of developing a cure for the Loopp Disorder. However no one knows when it will be available to the general public.

Please PLEEAAASSSEE GIVE US HUGE EPIC BATTLES LIKE TOTAL WAR

Give us the option to turn the battle scales to HUGE so that we can have 5000 vs 5000 battles as well as HUGE EPIC SIEGES

And maybe the option to toggle Strategic Commander mode (total war) vs Combat Mode(Warband) something similar to Rise of Empires

THAT IS MY ONLY WISH ALL OTHER FEATURES ARE WORTH CRAP TO ME

That would simply be impossible... you cannot compare M&B to Total War in that regard. NPCs in Warband have more to do than just run towards the enemy and perform simple attack animations.

I'd rather have good solid combat mechanics and smart AI than having thousands of entities on the screen.

Agreed, even with WB Battle sizer, 1000x1000 is insanely laggy regardless of your machine

I don't need total war scale battles to be happy but if I'm being honest I'll be really disappointed if 1000v1000 man battles are laggy in Bannerlord. I want at least that kind of scale in a next generation game, or at least the option to go to that scale and beyond for people with more powerful machines.

Why would you be disappointed?
Everything will be more detailed(every unit, their gear, environment) scaled to today's machines just like it was back in 2010...I don't see why now it should run 'smoother' or anything.

To this day most action packed mutiplayer game feature 64 players at most. Warband did quite a good job by having 200 player battles (which is still incredibly laggy). It's not up to the clients' PCs anyway but the server.
I would be extremely surprised if we would have 500 player battles at some point. 1000 vs 1000 is just illusional.

Something that sounds good in theory might not fare that well in practice. Such large scale battles are unimaginable for Mount&Blade. I think that a couple of hundreds of agents are more than enough on a single battlefield. It makes the hero actually play a role in the battle. Having thousands of enemy units would only make one feel like nothing.

While I tend to agree with the guys saying large battle are not workable, I tell them that "graphics and animations" aren't just the only technology that has improved over the years, There is also more efficient ways of coding and better game making techniques overall. So its not just a 1-1 ratio kind of thing with release date and current pc market hardware. Games and game engines have better ways to handle graphics (tessellation) and also 64 bit operating systems, multithreading, etc etc. So games DO more with less hardware.

Point is, 1000 on 1000, prob not, but I can guarantee that we will BE ABLE (I know its dependent on client hardware) to have more people on screen then warband with improvements to looks and behavior as well, its not impossible at all and like the other guy said, I would be a little disappointed if it wasn't. I do have a monster of a rig, I can have those 200 on 200 battles in warband and not lag so I'm definitely ready for Bannerlord.

I'm pretty sure that we had leak from Turkish forum saying something about 500vs500 being the magic number in one of the earlier blog threads.

Scrap that, it was actually vague note about 200vs200 multi and more with good rig in sp.

Could you link us?

Nothing much to link

They said mp will probably around 200vs200, and sp will be more then that. I think 1000 men would not take that long time if you have a good pc.
Inanch-Bilge 说:
There is another post of him, actually a pm. Which says they're thinking mp about 200vs200, it could be more but problem would be connection/server, but in sp, according to current state of the game, with good specs it can be more then 200vs200.

Ah, it's from Zaszx in the Turkish forum, but I didn't see anything about multiplayer or singleplayer...

its definatly one of the larger amounts of players in a multiplayer game. Excluding dedicated mmo's of course

I was talking about sp not mp. I play m and b primarily for sp.
