I didn't spend the time reading all the previous entries. I had a question, if you could help me that would be awesome.


What programming language is your game's engine written in?

I'm in love with M&B. It's the best ten dollar game I've ever purchased. I already know Bannerlord WILL be amazing, my brother and I are extremely excited for it. There are however a few things I would really like to see in mount and blade that I haven't seen in the other games I've played.

Being that I play this game with my brother a lot I would really enjoy it if the single player campaign could be expanded to allow for the inclusion of multiple players via LAN or the like. I, as well as most everyone else that I've seen would also be really excited to see a greater variation in siege tactics. I've always wanted to effectively engineer a siege and as such I think it would be really awesome to see a type of modular siege system centered around the use of small actions inherent to the M&B "vibe" or "essence". In that sense I really want to see attacking from different angles, more methods of entering a castle, siege weapons if possible, and better defense options. Although Defenders already have a good advantage I feel like they should be able to do simple tasks such as burning ladders and siege towers.

It reminds me the system I imagined for my mod:

- The attackers first spawn (and not spam) at the initial attackers' spawn point
- Then, anyone of the attacker team can suggest a new spawn point (attackers' choosen spawn point), closer to the stronghold, which would be accepted or rejeted by the rest of the team by a vote. The suggested place can be figured by a temporary huge flag only visible by the attacker team or something like that.
- This choosen spawn point can not be inside the defense perimeter, so that not to have attackers camps too close to the stronghold, and more precisely to its main flag (the traditionnal M&B siege flag that the attackers have to take in order to win the round).
- You can build a structure (like a tent) above it, so that to protect the spawning attackers. Or directly place the spawn point inside a structure.
- Engineers who spawn with siege engines always appear at the initial spawn point, so that to allow time to the defenders (otherwise it would be too hard for them).
- The secondary flags give money to the attackers when taken, and indicate to the other attackers the points of the stronghols which are already under control.

It's written in C++.
 
Adding LAN in the singleplayer campaign will for sure improve the game because playing with friends is waaay more fun.

I know for the moment that the devs are doing their utmost to make singleplayer as awesome as possible, but if they could find a way to make this work, maybe at launch, maybe as part of an update down the line, maybe even dlc; it would be absolutely ****ing awesome. I'd pay 60$ for that game, no questions asked.
 
THANKS FOR MAKING SUCH A GREAT GAME. I THINK YOU SHOULD REALLY WORK ON THE SIEGES THOUGH, LIKE INCORPORATING DESTRUCTABLE CASTLES, AND ADDING ALOT MORE TO THE OVERALL GAME. THE MISSIONS IN WARBAND GET OLD VERY QUICKLY, AND THE ADD ON OF MORE CORPES AND RAGDOLLS WOULD REALLY ADD REALISM TO THE GAME. ALSO, LARGER BATTLEFIELD MAPS, WITH MUCH LARGER ARMIES WOULD BE EPIC, AND MORE REALISTIC ASWELL. REMEMBER, THE MORE YOU ADD, THE BETTER IT WILL BE. AND A SINGLE PLAYER FOR NAPOLEONIC WARS WOULD BE AWESOME TOO, ASWELL AS A WESTERN LIKE THE 1866 MOD FOR MOUNT AND BLADE 1. AWESOME, AND VERY FUN MOD. IT WAS JUST NEVER FINISHED THOUGH. My sister and I are usually nowhere near each other. I think I'd prefer online co-op. It would be easier to access, at least for us. But then that brings along its own problems, doesn't it?

You should add the option to plan how the attack is going to be performed before entering the field. Like those guys should be going up that ladder and these guys should wait a while and then go up another ladder or something like that. It would improve the strategic aspects of the game drasticly.
