<p>Happy New Year to those operating on the Gregorian Calender and a round, warm hello to all. “Blog!”, they cried and it was written. 2013 has been a year of growth for us at TaleWorlds and with each passing month, work intensifies on Bannerlord. The new year has already started with the achievement of 100,000 likes on our official Facebook page. It feels like a great milestone and we'd like to thank everyone for all the support. Now let us tell you a little bit more about making Bannerlord.</p></br> Read more at: http://www.taleworlds.com/en/Games/Bannerlord/Blog/5

There is another post of him, actually a pm. Which says they're thinking mp about 200vs200, it could be more but problem would be connection/server, but in sp, according to current state of the game, with good specs it can be more then 200vs200.

200vs200 MP would be awesome for me  arrows everywhere, shield walls and stuff *_*
But when i think off 1.000 in single player first i think of the AI.
In warband they allways have same tactics like first they send cavalry on you then they form 1 line (infantry) behinde 1 line archers....
It would be stupid if you just see 800 bots standing and shoting on you and wait for you to come to them...
Soo it could be awesome if AI will be smarter and skilled little bit

What do they say about the AI meshes? Did they remove it or we'll also have to waste half a day doing this boring job?

What this game needs...
1. BIGGER BATTLES- that is, 1,000 man battles. I know it's possible- with mods you can do it on the Warband engine...
This is a bit too big, like just imagine the waiting times ugh, id be find with 150v150 (so 300), it's already the double amount of warband

Count Raviolli 说:

2. More optimization, to make # 1 possible.
We should get this with the new engine they are making

Count Raviolli 说:

3. Better Sieges: Siege Engines, the building of more towers etc.
This is already WIP as you can tell by this blog post....

Count Raviolli 说:

4. Better construction- custom build your fortifications as well as fortify your camp etc.
I approve of this

Count Raviolli 说:

5. Sub- vassals and vassals of vassals (Dukes, Counts, Barons, etc.).
Not too sure about this, could be to complex with too many tiers

Count Raviolli 说:

6. More and better diplomacy.
If they are just implementing the Diplomacy mod features that should be enough but more is always nice

Count Raviolli 说:

7. More orders for fine-tuning battles (depth of ranks, wheel right/left etc. to allow "square of doom" mode").
I would also like to see this

Count Raviolli 说:

8. Battle Formations (Schiltrom, shield wall, shield castle, Testudo (if your going Roman) etc.
This kind of goes together with the previous one

Count Raviolli 说:

9. Bigger and better cities with more businesses (not just the generic merchants found in Warband).
I'd like this too, to a certain extent

Count Raviolli 说:

10. SEA BATTLES!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wouldn't that be awesome? Think about it- it's like a land battle, but on water, with rams, siege engines mounted on the prow of ships etc...
Sea battles with basically 2 ship with planks so you can board each others (similar to AD1257), sure, otherwise no

Count Raviolli 说:

11. Deplyable defenses (caltrops etc.)- also includes ability to use smaller siege engines in battles (Scorpions, etc.).
To a certain extent, yes it would be nice

Count Raviolli 说:

12. More blood and gore (yup- I am a sadistic freak).
No real need for this I think

Count Raviolli 说:

13. Wounded men actually appear wounded and crawl about moaning for mercy..
.
No thanks, you wouldn't normally do this in a battle, you are too busy avoiding getting killed

Count Raviolli 说:

14. More nefarious things to do to innocent civilians (conscription's, extortion, massacres etc.)
I'd like to see this, as long as it has the proper repercussions on the player

Count Raviolli 说:

15 more options after taking a city (raise/execute 3/4 of pops, sack, occupy peacefully etc.)
Yes please

Count Raviolli 说:

16. Larger battlefields (mainly to accommodate more troops).
This goes together with number 1

Count Raviolli 说:

17. MORE DIPLOMACY AND MORE INTRIGUE!!!!!! See CK2 as a reference on anything involving these two...
Diplomacy already mentioned....

Count Raviolli 说:

18. Beasts of War- wardogs, elephants (PLEASE?), etc.
I think this is unnecessary

Count Raviolli 说:

19. Also: I forgot this one- CO-OP CAMPAIGN!
I am of two minds on this. It would be nice but completing a campaign can take hundreds of hours, you'd never finish one...

Count Raviolli 说:

20. extra moves you can learn from trainers and abilities to make combat more interesting (ie. you learn the epic flying roundhouse in plate armor kick as seen in Destroyer's video and map i o a key, enabling you to do awesome things with it in battles.
There is literally no point in this. Come at me with your roundhouse kick in full armor, I'll chop of your legs with my blade or pierce your stupid head with an arrow first

Count Raviolli 说:

21. Crime and Punishment- the petty slaying of civilians and stealing of things when you visit towns or villages allows you to get captured and arrested by guards unless you can fight your way out.
Yes.

Count Raviolli 说:

22. More "popular government." Public order, angry mobs, and "issues" concerning the people- allowing you to both be the victim of and capitalize on these feelings to take a city from the inside out.
Yes.

Count Raviolli 说:

23. Ability to go inside castles and wander around, especially in battles (hunt down the enemy Lord in his own hallways...)
Not to sure about this...

Posting it here in case it wasn't already (doubt it) and just because there is no way around this.

Bannerlord needs to ship with the Freelancer feature from the start! (look up Freelancer mod for Warband) There is just no way around this. Not having this feature would put you to shame as developers and really label you as dumb sorry to say.

A modder was able to include a feature in the game that for me personally added hundreds of hours to the gameplay. When you are tired of playing commander/lord/king and all the trouble of managing things. When you just want to get in there and fight in huge battles without worrying about troop orders. THIS IS THE ANSWER. Also it is one of the best ways to avoid the initial lvl 1 grind. You get immediate gear and immediate war!

Seriously, put it in! And while you are at it give the modder that created it some nice rewards like a free copy of Bannerlord for example.

Mmkay.

Very thoughtless of TaleWorlds, making it possible for that mod to exist, so it could make them look dumb to folks who feel that native sp has too much management.

I would like to see a new Vassal system. Like for an example, King Harlaus has 10 vassals which all are Dukes. And they on their own have maybe 3 vassals which are Counts. And if a Duke changes faction or breaks out on their own his or hers vassals would follow.

This isn't Crusader Kings II!

I feel that perhaps tiered Vassalage would get a little convoluted within the context of the game.
IIRC, the Battle for Sicily mod had tiered vassalage and it worked out great.
I think that the name of the game kinda leads to tiered vassalage being a main feature of it

...Oh mah gawd. I just realized: Most (ye olden times) fantasy games are essentially medieval Star Wars.

I was going to say something earlier to reply to the longer lance comment, but then I'd forgotten... Anyway, remember now. Tournaments have practice lances, don't they? So everyone would get the same lance to use? Horses might be different, as well as armor style and whatnot, but I imagine it could work.

It is not that is has too much management, it is simply that a (apparently) small change to the code allowed the game to be so much more. You now have the possibility to simply be a soldier participating in huge epic batlles because the single skirmish option in the main menu is a bit meh.

I play with 600 units on the map and formation mods, being in the middle of such a battle is just epic. That is another thing formations! Beause in the vanilla game you just get a giant clump of troops that all want to be stading on the same spot there is no tactical game play in vanilla as all battles are simply charge forward.

If I am a lord i have to run around given formation and movement orders and that is also interesting. The point is that i have the choice between being a lord and play tactical or a soldier and play action. 2 options, 1 game = profit!

I don't know if it has already been proposed / asked, but for battle orders, it could be great if we can give orders on a mini map with right clic.

For example : right clic on the map / Archers / Stand here
Right clic on another point of the map / Mounted units / attack here

It could be more complete, more usefull and maybe more quick ! Because in warband, against mounted units, sometimes you don't even have the time to give orders, that ennemies are already upon you, with cavalery unable to get through this stupid wall of archers...

The ability the create default formations for battles could be great. For example : large deployement of mounted unit in front, in my back archers, with infantery following me... Choising default place, formations and orders for each type of units. And we could create several battle profiles for lord battles / bandits battles / sieges... We could create a lot, and choose one before each battle to save time at the beginning and not to always give same orders for each battle.

Maybe we could also choose units or type of units going with us in battle instead of random choose.

Thanks for reading, and sorry for mistakes, i'm not native english spoker. (maybe have i more chances to be read by dev' on english forum)

You can infact do exactly that with Warband  It's left click tough.

Yeah there is, press "Backspace" or whichever button you got the mini map attached to.

i know the backspace function, but can you actually place you troops on the mini map ? I will test immediatly !

Took me a year to work that out too... or that there were orders of any kind.

The function can use a lot of improvement though, as you suggest, ombror. I think it would draw a lot more customers if the RTS side of the game had more features.

the Pre-battle orders and formations mod does that for Warband. Now we can only hope they use the stuff created by amazing modders in Bannerlord.

What do you guys rhink of this delay of the blog update?
i think they are working on a video. A video that will be the trailer
