To all interested and uninterested parties, let it be known that we at TaleWorlds are making a new game, by the name of Mount&Blade II: Bannerlord. It is the next in the Mount&Blade series and a prequel to Mount&Blade Warband. This is the third entry in our Developer Blog, talking about making the game to whoever wants to listen. Thisweek we're talking about the campaign team, developers of the game's single player mechanics and gameplay. The team formerly known as “Team 3”...

Read more at: http://www.taleworlds.com/en/Games/Bannerlord/Blog/4

Please Consider the following:
1. Purchasable and noticeable improvements to castles and towns on map and inside the physical location.
- Even to such extremes where you physically expand the city, and the population increases for example.
2. On your throne; the ability to command from there, people coming to you for judgement, help, work etc. And the ability to send out armies to defeat roaming parties and conquer cities/towns/castles, also in detail as to what you send out, who you send out, and how many of what troop/ siege machine etc. Also the ability to fully customize your throne room, from material of construction, to the items, guards etc.
3. Catapults, trebuchets, rams and other siege machines to be able to be chosen, and brought into battle against castles/towns.
4. No more jealousy of vassals not getting the last town given to them, the ability to reign over a huge empire, and also having a multi-tier leadership structure (whereby the bigger your empire, a chain of command can be put into place).

These preview pictures are looking awesome! There are some things I'm hoping they'll add to the game, some are obvious, here are some.

1. More siege ladders: I'm tired of waiting my entire army going up a single ladder, I mean it takes forever just to get them up, it's especially annoying when they try to push you off. So in bannerlord I'm hoping in siege battles they'll put at least 3-4 ladders?

2:Spears with an high thrust and low thrust: No much to explain here, but it's really hard to hit enemies with a shield and only one attack, that is the low thrust, so adding high thrust will help it a lot.

3:Extra or more equipment slot for character: I feel like arrows should at least have another slot for their own, so that way you still have more room to put your melee weapons in or an extra shield.

Those aren't all things I wish to see in bannerlord, but those are my main three.

I strongly agree with your first and third suggestions: getting pushed of ladders by your own soldiers is so annoying.
I reckon you should be allowed to equip an extra quiver of arrows and maybe an extra shortsword on your HORSE, when you go into battle, as a backup if you have a horse with you.
I agree with you as well Neo, but as I don't use spears I can't comment on that one. But eh no, you can only carry so much. That is the point of those slots. But Mocha, I think maybe the lower three boxes may be that.

Possibly Swadian town. Maybe Rhodok.

Western European looking settlement and castle. Probably Swadian.

Fortification, Western.

I think maybe those factions may be the names of the invaders at the time. But I think I'll like the Battanians myself.

I think that's a horrible idea. Equipment slots should limit on what you can carry into battle so you pick the right equipment, they shouldn't allow you to carry every weapon type in the game. Extra quiver slots is also redundant, if you want to carry more arrows you have to sacrifice another slot, like a shield. 4 slots is a perfect amount, in my opinion. May be there could even be a hardcore mode with only 3 slots, but I'm not sure about that.

I actually like that idea there should at add rams, catapults, and trebuchets it helps you plan your attack more when you knock down gates and walls so that way you can attack from multiple direction like having one army charge into the castle while other up on the walls

Sounds great and looks great but I'm still hoping for more equipment (armour) slots, allowing for even greater character/troop customization.

There's a reason why Morrowind's many armor pieces were streamlined in its TES sequels. More is not always better and can be too many.

That's because many armor pieces confused the average console player.

Confused by the possibility of mismatched pauldrons?
That kind of flexibility is simply unneeded and confusing.

Pure, unadulterated laziness. More was better and the reception for that decision was overwhelmingly negative.

Here's a thought from my perverted side; Seeing that it's medieval times and that you can most likely become king of all the land you should be able to sleep with any women you want and have them undress for you in game. Same with your wife if you end up getting married in game you should be able to allow a bed scene and/or your wife nude. This is a complete perverted idea I had, and don't expect anyone to follow this thought through in game. though it would be cool sending several nude women into battle just to watch them.

What the hell do you think this is? Mount&***?

I like these ideas, especially number 2. Respect.

To appeal to Casuals. More is usually better. Skyrim is far too simplified. I'm glad for more slots in Bannerlord, Helmet Body and Boots only would absolutely suck.

I really don't care about such a thing as armour slots. Honestly, simpler is better for game like this.

I felt like the dual wielders need to watch this.

Any idea what are those empty slots ?

Those show barrels on them so they could be items like food or goods like velvet, linen, dyes, etc. Food makes more sense, though.

>there is around 5 hours left to vote for Mount&Blade II: Bannerlord in the IndieDB Upcoming Game of the Year category.

Brilliant rapidity. I would have voted...

Indeed!

I think all this dual-wielding bullsh*t people have been asking for all this time is the greatest cancer of this forum, really. I'm very happy that the devs did never put this nonsense in the game.
