Technically, wouldn't a horses stats decrease with fighting as wounds, battle stress and age takes a toll on him

Would be great  (for AI too) .

Hello ...

I want you to make sure there will be no Auto-block hack in MP , because this hack spoils duels .

Is this possible ?

Stahp, plz. WHY on earth would you need to use the left hand and why on earth would you want to dual wield?

Gamers be like "WOW DUAL WIELDING! SUCH COOLNESS", half hour later "this sucks so baaad".
Lets be honest, most of us don't want dual wielding and the time spent adding such a stupid and unnecessary feature could be spent improving already existing features

It's part of some complicated and incomprehensible secret plan to bring about universal appreciation for the great but locally elusive triceratops, thereby attracting all of the universe's resources to the singular goal of repopulating every piece of space and non-triceratops junk with triceratops. Edit: Oops something else...

I think it would be fun.

It's one of the most requested features. If the time could be better spent doing something else, maybe it stands to reason to take twice as long to release.

You let Dual wielding be implemented, and the next day you have half-naked women with house-size swords roaming the battlefield. Because both things never happened on a real battle.
Like many suggested, let it be possible via modding, but not in the main game.

Yes but later on. A young horse should get better in terms of charging and maneuvering in battle after some fight. After some years and some wounds should lose speed but still be a good horse to ride in battle because experienced. Or get crippled for good ... but if not, it should get better as long as not yet old. Maybe It's too complicated reproduce all these parameters ( if not useless ) but maybe interesting considering some or any of them ....

I absolutely agree. Mount and Blade was always a game distinguishing itself with historical accuracy and the abdication of fantasy elements. No medieval warrior would ever have entered the battlefield carrying two broadswords simultaneously.
Apart from that, I also don't think that this would be of any use in actual combat.

 just imagine all the stuff we can modd now! cloaks, overcoats, pendants, gorgets, insignia ... etc

And all this thanks to just one new armour slot. That's why I always hoped for a few more.

Left hand/right hand profficiency and equipping would be an especially sensible addition if duel wielding were implemented.

So your the official spokesperson for for everyone? Skyrim did duel wielding, and it was very popular.

Skyrim is a fantasy game, Mount and Blade tries to stay more true to history.

What he says is not entirely true, but nevertheless, (based on how it was used historically) it has no place in Mount and Blade.

Looks great. A few items I've always wanted to see:
1) When you join a battle that is already raging, I'd love to see the battle already raging. The two sides should already be engaged, with my forces moving in to join the combat, and maybe getting a tactical advantage against the enemy. It would add some intensity for larger battles, with a sense that I'm interacting with a dynamic, complex world, not a battle generator that is waiting for my input.
2) Roads. I'd love to see roads that affect army movement speed, providing common pathways for merchants and armies alike. This could make for realistic checkpoints along roads and add a much more detailed tactical experience to the campaign. A village along a major thoroughfare could be a huge asset for trade or fortification alike.
3) Politics, Diplomacy, and Rebellion. It would be great to see further development of the internal and external politics for each faction, with rebellions springing up, powerful families opposing their king, etc.
4) More tactical depth in combat. Having more control over troops, in a realistic way, would be great. Training followers to be sub-commanders, setting tactics for squads before battle, etc. The tactical depth really adds to the immersion.

I'm afraid they wouldn't be doing those silly jumps if they were actually trying to hit each other.
The fight would also end a lot sooner. What you're seeing is choreography.

Using a rapier and dagger is a real fighting style too. although Implementing that kind of fighting into the game would be difficult.

yeah, duel wielding wouldn't be too effective when up against 4 people at once. although being left handed can have its advantages, my dad is left handed, and fighting him as opposed to a right handed person, is different.

There is no point to adding duel wielding or left handedness, stop asking.

The people who want dual wielding, I have to ask them? Have you ever played Mount & Blade before? Because if you have you would know going with out a shield unless you have used cheats to make yourself so powerful that nobody can kill you, if not then you already know then that it is suicide.  I can recall the nightmares of the early game when I would be attacked by Sea Raiders with there throwing axes or storming a castle and it being so packed that i could not move my arm to swing whatever weapon i was wielding and a shield kept me alive, dueling wielding would get tangled up in the AI' weapons on walls and make them useless.

You can't fancy footwork on a battlefield full of corpses and other man. Dual wielding whether it's choreograph or dueling depends on acrobatic footwork to maneuver.

Actually I would say, it is reasonable to make it so that the character CAN use both weapons at the same time, or left hand wielding and it would not hurt anything because like many have already stated, in M&B you wouldn't survive without a shield, especially in mods that highly emphasize on archery and ranged weapons.

It would grant the most freedom to the player by giving them the option to use which hand for what. I'm also left handed and I still do everything with my left hand like others do with their right hand.

We have 1-handed weapon use without shield in m&b, so should that be removed for greater "historical accuracy"? It's more suicidal than dual wielding, so clearly it's pointless to have it in-game. We should disable fist-fighting while we're at it; complete waste of hard disk space, it's unimaginable that anyone would honestly want it, since it's not as good as using the great lance.
